Bona Fide Knitter: January 2015
http://bonafideknitter.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 9, 2015. Still Knitting France Socks 2014. Yes, I'm still knitting them. I left off when it was time to weave the toe (Kitchener Stitch) on the first sock. I found the darning needles, but by that time I wanted to bake a cake and some cookies. Now I'm back to knitting. I finished the first sock and am at the heel of the second. Yes, it's an anklet. The pattern I'm using is the first sock pattern I ever used. It's from Learn to Knit Socks. I know I don't like to knit socks toe up! So many ...

Sunday, November 9, 2014. However, meet France Socks 2014:. The yarn was purchased in a shop in Valbonne, a little town in the south of France, the French Riviera, in September 2014. Don't be misled by the first picture. I'm only halfway through the foot of the first sock. This is as of this afternoon, November 9, 2014. I started them when on my vacation after France, a few weeks on Cape Cod with my Snowman in October 2014. You woke me just to reach your knitting? These did not pop over. I perfected a lo...

Mychawd: The Knitting SAMurai: Haruni update
http://mychawd.blogspot.com/2011/01/haruni-update.html
Mychawd: The Knitting SAMurai. On a narrow-minded world filled with images of knitting grandmas with cats, who is left to take up sticks and string, and take pedigree cats to the show halls? It is I, Mychawd The Knitting SAMurai who doubles as a Devon Rex handler in the Cat Show ring. Ahhh c'mon, are you really still trying to take me seriously? Yes, my life is a little like the movie Dog Show…only with crazy cat people and knitters. It's nothing if not entertaining! Monday, January 10, 2011. From The Br...

Life in Sally's World: A Finish!
http://lifeinsallysworld.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-finish.html
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. I have been working on this quilt for quite a while. Never mind, that it was a birthday gift for the past September, and when I missed that deadline, I wanted to have it finished in December. It's done, now. Measures approximately 69"x83". I really tried to put this whole thing together randomly. Once I cut the original squares, I put them in a shopping bag and pulled them out randomly to sew together. Then, once they were cut and ironed open I threw them back in a bag ...I hav...

Life in Sally's World: Hodgepodge of Sewing
http://lifeinsallysworld.blogspot.com/2015/06/hodgepodge-of-sewing.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. These last few days, I am feeling very accomplished! I managed to finish a UFO, test a pattern, and go to a class at my LQS (and finish my project! Over the weekend, I was able to test this pattern for Samantha. It is The Gentleman's Wallet. Just today, I took a class at my LQS to learn how to make these clothesline bowls. I am completely tickled with how my bowl turned out! That wallet is quite nifty! A friend made me a bowl like yours. Mine is a little flatter and I use it on...

Tea time chat that consists of my day to day thoughts and knitting projects. Pour yourself a cup of tea and settle in for awhile. I hope you find something here that interests you. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Whenever I visited at my Granny's house she either offered me a bran muffin or a rhubarb muffin. She always had some made and stored away in the freezer. I always loved them! These are a very moist bran muffin - you won't even need butter! 1 1/2 cups wheat bran. 1/3 cup vegetable oil. Something you m...

Bona Fide Knitter: February 2013
http://bonafideknitter.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 27, 2013. After a month of microwaving and trying to remember to use the deep, not the wide, cereal bowl for my one-portion size to prevent an oatmealy mess in the microwave when the timer sounded, I thought there must be such a thing as an electric oatmeal cooker. Voila! The rice cooker, my new love. When I Googled "oatmeal cooker" and was led to rice cookers I went to Amazon.com where I also found this book:. I bought it as a Valentine's Day gift to myself, My Funny Valentine. A...

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. I know a lot of young people get a lot of flack for being on their phones 24/7 but this man was well into his 70's and he couldn't leave it alone, not even to enjoy some nice quality time with his grandson. So put that phone back in your pocket, and live your life! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
