http://goodtanglewood.blogspot.com/2014/02/california-winter-cakewhite-chocolate.html
February 20, 2014. California Winter Cake—White Chocolate Grapefruit. California was a treat, my dudes. Comprised of the usual spate of woodworking, welding, and face-stuffing with tacos, it was a completely undeserved and welcome respite from Baltimore’s too-long winter. Obviously there were gobs of citrus too, and after a long while spent pining for the lemon cream that Yossy loves. Cake and frosting adapted from Baked: New Frontiers in Baking. Yield: Three 7- or 8-inch cake layers. 1 3/4 cups sugar.

January 13, 2014. Caramellow Chiffon Pie (Or New Moon Pie). Y’all, I know it’s tardy to just now be slip-sliding into the New Year, but last year was a rocky one. I ended 2013 in the red: down two friendships, one relationship, and one job for which I had blindly relocated from a beloved city to a new (though admittedly excellent) one. While the start of the year covered me in citrus. And the warmth of home, then hopscotched me back to Maine for a little bit of baby goat midwifery. 8212;but turned out.
