Life in Indiana: "The Middle Wife"
http://makayla-cope.blogspot.com/2009/07/middle-wife.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2009. The 'Middle Wife' by an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher. I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back. Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater. She holds up a snapshot of an infant. 'This is Luke,. And then, pop! My Mom had this bag ...

Life in Indiana: Fun at Turkey Run!
http://makayla-cope.blogspot.com/2009/06/fun-at-turkey-run.html
Thursday, June 18, 2009. Fun at Turkey Run! We were able to go camping this year with some good friends of ours. It was Makayla and I's 1st time and going to Turkey Run. We had so much fun together! She was a fearless little thing when it came to climbing rocks and going hiking on the trails. We endured a terrible thunderstorm the night before to get this picture. We were lucky that the rain stayed out of our tent. It sure didn't matter to this little girl that the trails were all muddy! The Vote is in.

Life in Indiana: Preschool Graduation
http://makayla-cope.blogspot.com/2009/06/preschool-graduation.html
Thursday, June 18, 2009. From her 1st day of school until now it has been a fun journey watching her grow into this well adjusted five year old. It's been fun to see her make so many friends at school and to know that the friends she makes now will be her BFF's later on down the road. I can't tell you how proud I am of this little girl. I know she has the ability to accomplish anything she sets her mind to. Congratulations to you, Makayla! Posted by The Cope's. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life in Indiana: Birthday Celebration
http://makayla-cope.blogspot.com/2009/06/birthday-celebration.html
Thursday, June 18, 2009. My mom surprised me and took me out for my birthday this year. We went to a nice swanky resturant downtown Lafayette called the BlueFin Bistro. It might have been a tad too swanky for us girls. But I have to say the dessert was to die for! We had to finish this special celebration with a little bit of Cold Stone Creamery. I was so happy Mr. Weiney could join us in the celebration. He went EVERYWHERE with us. Posted by The Cope's. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Vote is in.

Life in Indiana: A Birthday Surprise...
http://makayla-cope.blogspot.com/2009/06/birthday-surprise.html
Thursday, June 18, 2009. It's always good to see these two. I haven't been making very many trips to IA lately, so, this was a special treat to have Beck and Roy come over to see us. Of course, it was right on time for someone's birthday. From the looks of it, I think someone likes her new horse. I can't believe my little girl is five! Posted by The Cope's. Life in Indiana: Yoga Class
http://makayla-cope.blogspot.com/2008/12/yoga-class.html
Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Enjoyed my yoga class with Makayla. I have bragged on it so much that Josh was curious enough to come to class with us and try it out for himself. Is a natural at yoga. It's fun for me to see how focus she gets in class. Time to light your candle. Children are amazingly flexible and more importantly they trust really easy, too. Two things that helps when you have your legs high in the air and your elbows are suppose to go where? It feels good to trust. Posted by The Cope's.

Life in Indiana: Makayla's 1st time on Roller Skates...
http://makayla-cope.blogspot.com/2008/10/makaylas-1st-time-on-roller-skates.html
Thursday, October 23, 2008. Makayla's 1st time on Roller Skates. Roller skating for the 1st time this week. Josh took the night off work and we had our whole evening planned with this little one. Gave it her best and after about 30 minutes of this new sport she decided it was enough for her. We ended up being able to go to McD's. With our friends, so it wasn't a complete loss. It just wasn't the evening we had anticipated. Oh, well! Maybe next year. =). Posted by The Cope's. I love this idea!

Life in Indiana: December 2009

Monday, December 7, 2009. Here's an article for you to try to help reign it in a little. How to Keep Loved Ones from Spoiling Your Little Ones. Your Guide to (Tactfully) Putting Limits on Gift Giving. By Hillary Copsey, BabyFit Contributor. I live in a very small house. My very small house has very little storage. But losing these battles with relatives doesn't mean you have to lose the war against raising a materialistic child. That's how I remember my mom referring to it: Someone stole our Christmas.
