Enjoying a cup with Claudio on Saturday mornings while the boys watch cartoons. And we got a lovely Tassimo for Christmas (very thankful for that! So what about you? What are you thankful for today? Taking the Plunge: September 2014
http://heiditakingtheplunge.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 20, 2014. The last time I moved, it was from a small town to the big city. I was 8 years old and going into grade 3. I purposely didn't learn my new phone number for a whole year, a small rebellion against the change that had not been my choice. Some people enjoy change, I can tell you, I'm not one of them. The suite is beautiful, fireplace (not that we've needed it, the weather's been fantastic! Googa has decided his new name is Shark. Any time he has to introduce himself he tell...

Taking the Plunge: Crayons for Jewel
http://heiditakingtheplunge.blogspot.com/2015/02/crayons-for-jewel.html
Friday, February 20, 2015. Today I decided it was time to use all our broken crayons lying around and make some tot-sized ones for little sister to use. Jewel turned one in January and is starting to pay more attention to what her big brothers are doing so I though this would be a good time to make her some crayons if she wants to join them in colouring. Then we put the pieces in the mould. We made sure to make one of each colour but then made a few more mixing up all the colours. At first she wasn't sur...

Taking the Plunge: April 2015

Friday, April 10, 2015. The weather yesterday was gorgeous! 17, sunny and GREEN all around! We were at a church baseball game and the kids were playing around with some bubbles I had bought from the dollar store. You know how it goes, they blow a couple bubbles and then all of a sudden the bottle gets dumped :). Then another fun loving kid decided to join in! 1/4 cup dish detergent. 1/8 cup corn syrup. Mix together and pour into container. On an unrelated note, this kid. Mulled over and scribbled by Heidi.

Taking the Plunge: March 2014
http://heiditakingtheplunge.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 28, 2014. Oh hey, yeah it's me. So I won't go into a big long explanation as to why I stopped writing. I was not in a good place and even though I tried to power though, all those deep feelings were seeping through in my writing as much as I tried to hide them. I'm all for honesty in blogging and it is okay to share deep feelings but when it involves other people there is definitely need for discretion. That would be awesome! Introducing our new little "Jewel". Her brothers and parents are ...

Monday, January 19, 2015. Oatmeal, Carrot and Zucchini Muffins. So things here in Victoria are going really well! Sorry, but that's just the way it is. This morning I wanted to make muffins and I started searching Pinterest for an oatmeal muffin recipe that didn't call for bananas (bananas do NOT last in this house, you'd think there were three little monkeys who lived here! When I came across this recipe for Oatmeal, Carrot and Zucchini Muffins. These things are amazing! I won't post the actual recipe a...
