Gaia Girl: Bug Hill update
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2008/03/bug-hill-update.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Thursday, March 27, 2008. Happily, Megan did continue to nurse after that 48 hours. I told her I was proud of her, so many women I know would have stopped at the first sign of problems. But she can't get the hysterectomy she needs because she can't pay the co-pay.". Ah, I do love this country's health system! How much is the copay? Our health care system is insane. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bad Mom, Good Mom. Fearless Travel Writing Knitter. Gaia Girl: April Woes
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2007/04/april-woes.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Tuesday, April 10, 2007. April financial showers (downturns) bring May financial flowers (upturns)? So this month is expensive. Income taxes, car insurance and now our television died. April feels expensive, and it is, but we're deferring a good portion of it interest free until next month. I had to set some financial goals for April so that when the bills come due in May we'll have enough to cover it. My goals:. Your post is an amusing bit of serendipity. I've been re-re...

Sunday, January 28, 2007. Knitters and quilters love fibers. Art Quilters are exploring the world of fibers by incorporating yarns, felted wool, and hand-dyed fabric in their new creations. Was the featured speaker. Dorothy is an expert on dyeing yarns and fabric with mushrooms. Lydia is an amazing woman, still going strong and wearing wild socks at 96. Our five lives have been woven together over many years and every so often serendipity brings us together again. Today was one of those special days.

Gaia Girl: December 2007
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Sunday, December 30, 2007. I wanted to do a post "Christmas by the numbers" but really, I'm too tired for that. It was going to be something like:. 1800 - miles driven. 253 - emails unread. 5 - presents that hit. 15 - presents that missed. 1 - call from work, missed as the phone went dead in the low cell service area. 5 - consecutive days without internet access. 4 - beds slept in. 2 - maximum number of nights spent in the same bed. 4 - generations visited. Cynthia hadn't exp...

Gaia Girl: October 2007
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. I'm tired and tipsy (the tipsy came after the T-or-T'ing, I swear). We walked up and down 4 streets (about 3 blocks long each) and each child had their container filled. I now have about 100,000 calories in my house. The kids looked cute in their costumes and Hyperion's thrifted/recycled costume turned out well. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Buying organic is a social justice issue. Gaia Girl: Small town values
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2008/09/small-town-values.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Sunday, September 07, 2008. Hello again from Bug Hill. It's been a long time since I posted (not quite 6 months, though, so it could be worse, right? I have no excuses - I miss a few weeks because of too much going on, a little bit of the blues, etc and then each day it's just harder and harder to come back. Bug Hill is a small town. And I mean a small town - smaller than Wasilla (which is not, in fact, the 2nd largest city in Alaska - what the heck is Karl Rove smoking?

Gaia Girl: So here's what's keeping me
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2008/03/so-heres-whats-keeping-me.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Sunday, March 09, 2008. So here's what's keeping me. I seem to only be able to have so many "obsessions" in my life at a time. Blogging has suffered for this. 1) in the middle of my Master Naturalist class. I'm loving it. Most of it is review from college (my forestry degree was exceptionally well rounded) but there's been enough new that it's been very cool and interesting. I've also met some other great people, so it's a nice outlet that way;. I'm going to do my best to car...

Gaia Girl: January 2009
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Tuesday, January 06, 2009. I didn't actually make resolutions this year. I thought about it, but couldn't come up with anything that 1) I thought I could keep and 2) actually described what I want and need to do. A long while ago, I posted about using my shampoo samples. Instead of buying new shampoo. Guess what? But I'm afraid it will strip the henna from my hair. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bad Mom, Good Mom. Fearless Travel Writing Knitter. Tanya the Art Butcher.

Gaia Girl: End of Year Update
http://gaia-girl.blogspot.com/2008/12/end-of-year-update.html
Musings of an earth goddess. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. End of Year Update. So pretend this actually posted NYE, humor me). This was a big year for Mr. Gaia and me. Which is why things have been so quiet. In April we found out the economy was hitting Mr. Gaia's company and that the company would be closing its doors in June. Eek! No interruption in paycheck for him. Mine was a different matter, but I was only without a paycheck for about 9 weeks. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bad Mom, Good Mom.
