The Beard Boys: August 2012
http://thebeardboys.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 25, 2012. Surgery is coming up on Friday and I have to say I'm getting a little nervous. I just keep reminding myself that it's worth 20 minutes of horrible-ness and a few days of discomfort to have clear vision! I've been wearing my glasses for 3 weeks now and have had just about enough. I don't know how people stand wearing glasses full time. They drive me crazy! So thankful that I've been able to wear contacts for so long and that in a few days I won't need glasses or contacts! A coup...

Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Cooper's First Day of Preschool. Here's Cooper on his first day of Preschool. He was so excited to start school! With the way his birthday falls, he'll actually do 2 years of preschool before starting Kindergarden. We put him in the shorter program for this year so he only goes from 9-12. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Courtney and I'm loving all the things he is learning from her. She has the cutest songs that he comes home with! We're looking forward to a fun year! It's a Ger...

la vita è bella: August 2011

La vita è bella. Sunday, August 28, 2011. We spent three weekends in this fascinating country and enjoyed each one. The country is 98% Muslim and Konya is the most conservative town. Turkey felt like it was torn between maintaining tradition while pursuing western culture. In the modern mall across the street from our 5-star hotel, Muslim women in head coverings watched music videos in the food court showing Turkish pop-stars singing on a beach in bikinis. Enjoying the Punk Van cabin with "Sonic" Murnan.

Early Monday morning, the Cienski/Stubbs clan climbed back into the car to explore more of Switzerland. Destination: Zurich! After a short drive north, we arrived just in time for the sun's debut. Zurich provided the perfect backdrop for pictures, shopping, and warm soup for lunch! We enjoyed walking around and reading a little history about the city. In front of St. Peters Kirche. The Fiat isn't...

La vita è bella. Friday, October 8, 2010. For the 200th anniversary of Oktoberfest, a group of 12 of us traveled to Munich to celebrate in style.Bavarian style that is! We arrived in Munich on Friday afternoon and quickly dressed in our Bavarian garb. Caleb and I picked out a matching yellow checkered pattern for our lederhosen and dirndl. All suited up, the group jumped on the U-Bahn (German subway) and headed down to Oktoberfest! A view of the festival. Outside the Lowenbrau tent. After a wonderful wee...

La vita è bella. Monday, April 2, 2012. What is the best way to see four great cities in only seven days? Why, on board the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas, of course! We set sail with Matt and Corrie Ott on an Eastern Mediterranean adventure to Sicily, Athens, Crete, and Turkey. This being Caleb's first cruise, we were excited to explore the boat, drink the specialty drinks, and much to the husband's chagrin, play bingo and cheap slot machines! Formal night on the boat, docked in Sicily.

The Beard Boys: March 2012
http://thebeardboys.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 27, 2012. This little guy turns one tomorrow! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. It seems like forever ago that I was pregnant with him but at the same time I feel like he has grown up way too fast. He is such a cutie pie . walking, and trying to talk, doing his sign language, and loving everything that his older brothers do! We celebrated his birthday on Saturday with a construction party! It was a lot of fun! The cakes - one bulldozer and one dump truck! The next weekend we ha...
