muffin meets the apple: July 2009
http://muffinspeak.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Muffin meets the apple. Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree - martin luther. Thursday is the new Friday. My kids, you know, they're rowdy. They've got lots of problems, and today was a hard day but at the end I stepped back, thought about it, and I thought to myself. you know, I can do this.". What I wasn't prepared for was the look of sheer defeat that so many of my kids exhibit. They have so much working against them, how can I judge them?

FIGHTBACKFRIDAYS: February 2012
http://fightbackfridays.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

School communities around New York City have had enough of the failed policies of the NYCDOE that have resulted in the deterioration and destruction of our public schools. As educators and parents, we demand a role in helping to shape our students' schools and futures. John Dewey H.S. Fight Back Friday Protests. PS 307, Br...

Muffin meets the apple. Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree - martin luther. It's been real, NYCTF. Last week, I trekked up to the Bronx for my last class meeting of grad school. I was scheduled to present my thesis to my classmates, but when I got to the classroom, I found that class had been canceled. Myself and two of my classmates were the only ones to not get the message in time - it was an anticlimactic end to a hard two years. So, now what?
