District 6040 GSE Team. From KC to SA and Back. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Only 1 More Day. Mark is absolutely right. The District 9250 Conference is a big family reunion for us. Our hosts are everywhere, and it is a great experience for us to walk through through the conference center and recognize over half the people in attendance. The lions were quite an experience yesterday. The cats were small enough that we could walk among them, but large enough that we couldn't feel completely at ease. Yet In the e...

Thanks to my phone's misrepresentation of the correct time zone, I awakened at 4 am this morning instead of 5 am The bad news is that I may fall asleep on our trip to Kruger National Park today. The good news is that I finally have a chance to put up some photos. Jeanne got right to work doing what she does best. Here she is attending a rollover truck wreck with the paramedics. She is also the host who fed us this:. First days in SA.

District 6040 GSE Team. From KC to SA and Back. Saturday, May 9, 2009. D we must just head through the veld and make our own shortcut. Turns out that is alot harder than first imagined. Forty five minutes late we broke through to the trailhead, me limping from a twisted ankle, to find a worried Team Leader waiting impatiently for us. Governor Eusovic you can be sure that Bill takes his job seriously and cares for his team. We've updated our Kruger post so check out the photos! May 10, 2009 at 2:51 PM.

District 6040 GSE Team: Making Friends
http://kctosa.blogspot.com/2009/05/making-friends.html
District 6040 GSE Team. From KC to SA and Back. Sunday, May 10, 2009. It is hard to believe that we have already been here two weeks. That leaves us with a week to go, and much to cram into that week. This milestone of sorts has me thinking about the trip from a somewhat sentimental perspective. We have met so many wonderful people here already. Ps I am on dial-up right now, so no pics today. I hope to get some added to this post, however, as soon as is possible. District 6040 GSE Team. From KC to SA and Back. Thursday, May 7, 2009. In the US we are not used to standing in a line where people are pressed against you all jockeying to be next in line and talking back and forth in a language you don't understand. After we finished Jim made the comment to me: "How many people at home do you think would freak out doing what we just did? May 7, 2009 at 1:20 AM. May 8, 2009 at 11:03 PM.
