Tonight I curl up with a new book, a tapestry of mystery and a play in form. Precisely the kind that gives me a thrill knowing the rationale for how a certain piece is written. Jo Nesbo is fantastic. Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: May 2014
http://sweetvalley27.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 11, 2014. Having travelled to both Seoul and Jeju for 10-days I could say that I barely skimmed the surface. Frankly it wasn't even enough since there was just so much to see and do. But given the limited time and budget, I think I've managed squeeze in some of the recommended and must-see places and activities and create an itinerary that me and my friend will enjoy. Korea hasn't even occurred to me (on my own). Not even after watching gazillions of Korean drama. Unbelievable right? I had th...
Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: July 2014
http://sweetvalley27.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Korea] Day 3: Ero Museum, Teddy Bear Museum, Cheonjeyeon Falls, Dongmun Market. For our second day in Jeju, we visited Seogwipo. It is an area located south of Jeju and is where most tourist attractions are located. Originally we planned to stay a night at Jeju City and another at Seogwipo as suggested, however we can't. The distance of this two places is almost an hour so its definitely not possible since we have a morning flight back to Seoul the next day. For Adult eyes Only.
Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: August 2013
http://sweetvalley27.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 3, 2013. It has been a long while since I've posted anything. Being a final semester student was tough and presuring although I had no regrets. Afterall I had to ensure that I maintain my pointers. In a breeze I unofficially graduated on 10th May 2013. Just like that two years of studies are over. And among my friends I became the first to begin my internship. Speaking about that I have tons of work to finish my tonight. Till next time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: April 2014

Friday, April 18, 2014. Birthday Lunch @ The Manhattan Fish Market, Pavillion. What you see may not be what you will get Technically there was nothing wrong but I can't help feel a little disappointed by the food presentation and quality. The image on the left is what I was served compared to the promotional image (right). Since that was what printed in the groupon. According to the dictionary, it refers to a rich soup usually containing seafood. But if there was any in it I couldn't taste it. The main m...
Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: Hearts Desire
http://sweetvalley27.blogspot.com/2014/02/little-gifts.html
Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Eversince I could remember, whenever I did well in my studies I would look forward for trips to the department store. I would then be allowed to choose a small gift for myself. My parents believed then that hard work should be rewarded and this is something that I have continued until now with my own finances. In the year 2014, instead of a reasolution, this year, I've decided to compile a list of items that I would want to own in time. 1) LUNCH BOX and BENTO SET. If you wou...
Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: December 2012
http://sweetvalley27.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. Confessions of a Mela-Choleric. Its the end of the year. Much has happened good and bad. Looking back I realised that a lot have changed. Some I may or may not have realised yet. For this year - for the first time I found a resolution for me to keep - something personal. Reasons being that upon reflecting back I realise that I am a pessimist. I'm proud, vain, stubborn - features that I'm not proud to admit. There are much to be thankful of and I did not. Problem issues isn't it?
Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: Afternoon Tea @ 1837 TWG Tea, Pavillion
http://sweetvalley27.blogspot.com/2014/06/afternoon-tea-1837-twg-tea-pavillion.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Afternoon Tea @ 1837 TWG Tea, Pavillion. Between our busy lives, a gathering between us girls have been long overdue. The last time we met was months ago when one of the girls returned from her holiday - and its my turn now. Since neither of us have tried having 'afternoon tea' we decided to give this place a try. Maybe it's our lucky day but on that day there wasn't a queue there at all. Refilling is not an option. The sandwiches was nothing to shout about but the scones were lo...
Truth, Lies & In Betweens...: June 2014

Friday, June 13, 2014. Korea] Day 2: Manjanggul Cave, Maze Land, Seopikoji, Seongsan Ilchubong. We re-arranged our itinerary after advise from our host as certain places are simply out of the way and inconvenient by public transportation. Maps can be rather deceiving as locations that looks no more 1/2 hour away could actually take more than an hour to commute by bus. Since we had two full days in Jeju, we decided to spend the first day exploring Eastern Jeju. But alas things happen. Although the mai...

Monday, December 30, 2013. Its time to say our goodbyes to another year. Much has happened this year - the good, the bad, with plenty of happy occasions and also sadness. If I were to describe what this year was to me in one word It would probably be accomplished. I didn't notice but a lot has occured and I'm proud to say I believed I have done what I did the best that I could have. A little recap perhaps? I had my first job. And is planning and saving for my self funded trip to korea. And I also learnt ...

Teller of Her Tales | Bits and pieces of a relatively realistic idealist
Teller of Her Tales. Bits and pieces of a relatively realistic idealist. 98 of 100 Happy Days: Potong Ice Cream. Potong Ice Cream, or ‘Aiskrim Potong’, is a traditional local snack. ‘Potong’ means ‘cut’ in Malay, so they are literally blocks of cut ice cream. They usually come in flavours such as red bean, sweet corn, durian, yam and cendol, with a creamy texture from coconut milk. Not everywhere sells these anymore, so it’s always a joy to have find them and slurp on some sweet, icy nostalgia. Got a lov...
