And, no, I don't have one of those fancy Amazon accounts that lets me earn money when you click one of these links and buy the book. I just share my opinions on books for free because they aren't worth much more than that. I think I loved it for the places it touche...
Here's to Hope: August 2008
http://evenmoretmi.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Proof that things are not always black or white. I have many thoughts on this particular issue. But I think the main thing to say is that the issues are not always black or white. I know, we can often get lost in a gray area and easily lose our way. But sometimes, things sound wrong or feel wrong for a reason. There are many selfish reasons why John and I want to adopt. We want to be parents, we want to raise children, we want to have a family. It's not ALWAYS black and white.
Maxwell Street: The End of Victory Culture: overview
http://maxwellstreet.blogspot.com/2010/08/end-of-victory-culture-overview.html
Monday, August 02, 2010. The End of Victory Culture. Tom Engelhardt’s The End of Victory Culture. Is interesting enough, and provocative enough to merit a few days worth of responses. I’m not particularly interested in reviewing the book (or any book)—reviews are boring, and plentiful enough in any scholarly journal. I did find quite a bit to respond to, however, and hopefully in the process of response I can provide a sense of Engelhardt’s book for the reader(s) that I have. As frustrating as it can be ...

Well, familiar faces will start to appear. should I post more? Tam comes into it in the next panel or two, I think. Its not a very good likeness though :(. I cheated, actually, and read the other three on your UMass website ;) They look great - I definitely recognized her right away :) Were you planning on continuing after seven, or is this a limited edition series?
Maxwell Street: The Open Empire: first impressions
http://maxwellstreet.blogspot.com/2010/08/open-empire-first-impressions.html
Thursday, August 12, 2010. What Hansen really attempts to do—which may be different from most traditional textbooks—is include unusual sources to give a better glimpse into the lives of women, minorities, travelers, and other folks who don’t make it into the written histories of Sima Qian and his successors. I will be interested to see what elements of the textbook students attend to most, and what they think of the general tone. Sounds like something I would love to read! View my complete profile.
Here's to Hope: Vaca
http://evenmoretmi.blogspot.com/2008/04/vaca.html
Friday, April 11, 2008. As you probably know by now, John and I are headed on vacation! I will be piping in on my other blog. While we're gone (along with some hilarious guest bloggers) but since there will be absolutely nothing happening regarding adoption between now and then, I probably won't be updating here until we return. I'll be thinking about it, but will also be glad to spend several days free of any sort of rational thought. In the meantime, Aloha! See you in 10 days! God Knows What He's Doing.
Two Square Meals: December 2009
http://twosquaremeals.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Because somewhere along the line I gave up the attempt at being perfect. Friday, December 25, 2009. One year ago today you made your appearance. And Christmas will never be the same again. Whenever I contemplate the birth of our Savior and imagine Mary holding the tiny King of the Universe in her arms, I will also remember the moment I first held you. Words truly cannot express the immense joy you bring to our lives, our beautiful Christmas baby. We love you! Wednesday, December 23, 2009. And in the mids...

Here's to Hope: One very cute, very happy, very sick baby
http://evenmoretmi.blogspot.com/2009/04/one-very-cute-very-happy-very-sick-baby.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2009. One very cute, very happy, very sick baby. Here are a few of the pictures I took of Colt on Easter morning. I'm finally figuring out ways to capture the smile. I've realized it really takes at least two people! Today was his 4-month check-up where we planned to get shots. Unfortunately this well-baby check-up did not go so well. He did not get shots, because it turns out he has double ear infections AND.get this.RSV. This morning he began breathing strangely, almost wheezing...
