NOT EASY BEING GREEN. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Outside this morning in the cool morning air - we were able to enjoy this group of hot air balloons that danced in the sky above our neighborhood. It was really cool! VIEW FROM THE TOP - OCT 2010. The view from the top of our Temecula property is always breathtaking! We were amazed at the amount of growth on the trees this season. Some of the trees are more than 6 feet tall. Hope to have a successful crop this year. The avocado grove is looking great!

We were surrounded by pine forest, parked on the edge of the Delores River, and enjoyed meeting other RVers from many places. Beautiful scenery abounds in Colorado. This view of an small community around Trout Lake was just one of many lovely sites. NOT EASY BEING GREEN. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. CAR ACCIDENT WIPES OUT HEDGE - PRESCOTT. March 6, 2011. A young man was being pursued by Prescott police and at high speeds ran the stop sign at Goodwin and Mt. Vernon streets, then lost control and wiped out our 25 year old hedge! This hedge was put in to protect our yard from noise, dust and of course this very kind of accident. Lucky we put it in all those years back. At least he missed the glider swing which is one of my favorite things.

The crop is doing well this year, the views remain breathtaking and the taller the trees become the more we are encouraged regarding our farming abilities. Russ works very hard each time we visit and I must say it's paying off. Jacaranda trees did well this year and are also highlighted by the fuscia ice plant at their base. Now that we have updated the countertops in our kitchen and removed that horrible wallpaper it's time to stop thinking about updating the appliances and actually do it! New appliances were delivered and are now standing ready in the entry hallway. I know, I know, but it's two weeks out before the appliances will be installed by Russ and friends. NOT EASY BEING GREEN. Monday, January 3, 2011. Prescott was a very cool 5 degrees on New Year's Eve. After shoveling snow from sidewalks and porches, we were ready to greet friends for a great celebration. As new and old friends gathered we figured out it takes a village to open champagne. NOT EASY BEING GREEN. Monday, August 30, 2010. BETA SIGMA PHI BEGINNING DAY 2010. Service Project - Empty Bowls, Prescott Arizona. We gather together and each member prepares and decorates one or more bowls which are then donated to the Annual Empty Bowls event to help end hungar. The 13th Annual Empty Bowls event will take place on September 12, 2010 at the Prescott Courthouse Plaza in Prescott, Arizona from 11am to 2pm. The money raised goes to the Yavapai County Food Banks. DON'T FORGET TO GO OUT AND.
