This girl was constantly made fun of and didn't have that many friends. Looking back, I remembered that I too had made fun of her. I learned a huge lesson from this experience. Thursday, May 14, 2009. Hard runs. Good runs. A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to run a half marathon with my Young Women's President. Let me say, it was an amazing experience. To train for this race, I had to run a lot. It was difficult. A few weeks before the race, she said something that struck me hard. She said, "I am so glad that we have hard runs so that we can better enjoy the good runs.". It reminded me of a scripture in 2 Nephi 2:13. The hard runs are worth it. May 20, 2009 at 6:10 PM.

Thursday, May 7, 2009. Go get just one! Our rehearsals have been extremely fun and very uplifting and spiritual. The choir director in my stake told us last week that we had about 50% of our youth participating. We need those youth. We want all of those youth there, singing or dancing, so they can feel the spirit. In Deuteronomy 33:2, it tells of tens of thousands of Saints gathered with Moses, whom the Lord loved and praised. Brandon Mull is such a talented author, with quite the imagination! These books are (obviously) fantasy and I'm pretty sure they make the top of my favorite fantasy book list along with the Harry Potter books! The 5th and final in the series came out this March. I loved it! I think it was a very good end to the series! Quote of the Week.

And it sounded yummy, so Aub and I tried it this week. They turned out really good! 2 cups quick oats, 1 cup grape nuts, 1/2 cup powered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. We didn't have grape nuts, but they were fine without them, and I suggest less (or no) cinnamon, unless you really like it, it left a strong after taste in our granola bars. Quote of the Week.
