Land Camera Automatic 104. Here's my new (but 50 year old) camera! It is a 1965 Polaroid Land Camera. It takes rectangular peel-away film that you have to time each time you take a picture. If you estimate incorrectly (the timing is based on temperature) you end up with under or over exposed shots. It came with this lovely polaroid briefcase-like holder, along with a little manual stopwatch to time the exposures, a self-timer, a blue flash with a bunch of old flash bulbs and several layers of dust. I pro...

School starts in a week. That's a pretty depressing statement. I have two more summer reading books to finish before it does. That would be a concerning statement. I feel like I have so much time but no time at all. Not one but two. Films In one day. pshyeah. Down the Rabbit Hole. I apologize for not posting for a month. It is abhorring behavior, I know. Hopefully this film, created on the island of Nantucket by Kate, Taubert and I, will make up for it. Please comment with your thoughts!

ever and anon: Road Trip: Day 1

Road Trip: Day 1. Sign, BAM purple desert and rocky plateaus. I think that's probably how they decided on the borders. OK, Texas is not terrible. I stopped in Amarillo to see Cadillac Ranch which was VERY cool. When you're driving on the interstate, the installation looks like a few bumps on the endless dirt stretch, and then you're like wait - was that- whaaat? Those crazy Amarillo winds! My destination for the day was Tucumcari, New Mexico. The town of 2,000 motel rooms! The town of murals! I wouldn't ...

The Pasquinelli Picture Project yay! That is what Julia and I are calling it anyway. Watch as we destroy our cameras for interesting effects! And cap it off with some color. The disposables will come in a wave, but here are tonight's instants. Color Filters and Light Leaks. As an unrelated side note, my family REALLY REALLY LIKES BIRTHDAYS. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Some photographs of that day. Jamie Livingston was a New York based photographer and film maker who took a polaroid everyday from March 31, 1979 until his death October 25, 1997. this website. Documents all of those polaroids. I hope to be able to do something like this one day. Here are a few of the ones I liked as I very quickly skimmed the incredible photography. Be sure to check out HPNproductions where you can find all the films i've collaborated on with Kate and Taubert. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

I do apologize for the lack of posts. I took these while visiting Nguhi (! In New York. All taken in Harlem, they're not the best photography, in fact they're pretty bad. But I loved how the colors were showing up on my camera that day. I apologize for the hackneyed subject matter. I took these with a fisheye on the beach of the island of Turks and Caicos. I should have posted them a long, long time ago. More precisely last December. When I took them. oops. Labels: bella is adorable.
