In Mandalay, local Burmese people don’t have household landlines and not many have cell phones, so you see these tables on the streets with a phone (a really, really old phone) and the yellow pages. Cars are old, used Toyotas, driver’s seat on the right. Pick-up trucks are the public transportation of choice. Cannot emphasize how old the cars are. But hotels have Internet.
