Teton Pass Run for WWII Veteran Leonard Herman. On June 6, 1944, young men hit the beaches of Normandy to rescue us from tyranny. On June 6, 2009, I'm running the Teton Pass to raise funds to honor the memory of my dear friend, Leonard Herman, who served two combat tours over Europe in WWII. Sunday, June 7, 2009. 59 miles, 2,200 vertical foot climb (from 6,200 feet to 8,430 feet), in 80 minutes. This one is for all our WWII vets. God bless them all. Monday, May 18, 2009. Successful 6-mile run Sunday.
