That ribbon of highway. America from the driver's seat. June 25, 2015. Yesterday I left Erie, PA rather late. Driving through Northern Ohio and Indiana, I was surprised by how… pastoral? The land around I-90 is. I saw a girl my age in a CR-V with Virginia plates; her backseat and trunk were also packed. I wondered where she was moving to. I ate a lot of bananas and a lot of Ritz Bits and my stomach was confused. After dinner, I took my first ever Uber to Blue Chicago, where the JW Williams Blues Band.

Granted, I couldn’t help the friendly retired couple who asked for directions from their car, and I was myself lost. But still!
