Third Rock From The Sun: November 2008

http://myskadventure.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2008. We have a new homely home. Hello to all of you busy. The apartment is well laid out and feels spacious, it has a decent view and an awesome bathroom. On top this it comes with some furniture and we are the first tenants. It is close to the old one which means we will continue to shop at Homeever, which is above the bus stop, and socialise with James and Barbara. Loving the other English speakers in town, we are forming a nice little social circle. Saturday, November 15, 2008.

Third Rock From The Sun: October 2009

http://myskadventure.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 24, 2009. Hey everyone, here’s my weekly round up. So I was sick on Monday, as in genuine sick at home sick. Not that I know any other type of sick; but I was worried that the teachers at school may have thought that I was not sick, but rather skiving off. So I deliberated taking the day off but in the end my not wanting to pass on the germs and genuine sick feeling won out. The best thing about all of this is that I finally feel that I am engaging the more hyper students, I feel like I...

Sunday, May 10, 2009. Saving, Saving, Saving. You know I came to Korea with the intention of saving, saving and saving. It was my only thought, and yet seven months in my account does not reflect the millions and millions of Won that I had hoped it would. This has been bothering me of late. But my life is not all glumness. I have in the last seven months had some amazing experiences. So here’s a list of totally incredible things that I have done. (It is in no particular order). I bought a scooter. I have...

Third Rock From The Sun: December 2009

http://myskadventure.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, December 12, 2009. Life continues at break neck pace over here. Jess and I are busy every weekend and have our weekends planned well into January next year. I’ve neglected uploading news of my life to my blog, and I see that I failed to mention that I went to Japan a couple of weeks ago. We took the ferry from Busan to Fukuouka on Saturday the 21. By the by, Japan was the 10. Country that I have visited! We are still looking into the trans-Manchurian as an option for October 2010, and my good f...

Terri's Take on Terrafirma: What happened to me?

http://terrifirma.blogspot.com/2010/06/what-happened-to-me.html

Terri's Take on Terrafirma. Friday, 11 June 2010. What happened to me? I've always called myself a Proud South African and I guess today my 'gees' is based on the fact (it is now a fact) that we're pulling off a feat many people, other Saffas included, didn't think we could pull off. Dang those stadia look good and the Gautrain runs and the airports are impressive and the weather is sunshiny. It's here - I'm feeling it. We'll start a new count down at 16:00 today: counting down until this all ends an...

http://terrifirma.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Terri's Take on Terrafirma. Thursday, 27 August 2009. I found myself daydreaming. Maybe it's the extra time I have on my hands now that my crazy teaching load has lifted. Maybe it's the thought of a few days out of the city. Maybe it's just spring time and thus time to contemplate the meaning of life love phds and the universe. Same day-dream. Different day. And always about driving the same spot of highway out of Joburg. Wishful thinking? Friday, 14 August 2009. The Amazing Green Race - Public Lectures.

Terri's Take on Terrafirma. Monday, 30 November 2009. Thanks to BA.com and Charlie R. For the upgrade to BA club class. On the way out from Johannesburg to London Heathrow. What a way to fly: real comfort, real sleep, real cutlery, real food, real service. I also have reason to believe that I sat in the same seat that KP. If you're an England / South African cricket fan who'll know who he is - sat in on his way out for the current series. Ooooh *faint*! No not really, he plays for the other side). When y...

I watch monkeys for a living! I really do.it's fun! Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Life-long To-do list Item 32: Check! Before I begin, I must point out that I don't. Have a Life-long To-do list. Not in the formal sense, anyway. I rather have a kinda space in my brain that holds all the stuff that looks cool to do and I'll get to later. Avid followers of my blog will remember me once writing a post. I have finally sampled the amazing flappy-purple-orb that is DRAGONFRUIT! The innards of a dragonfruit:.

I watch monkeys for a living!: What's in a name...?

http://thelifeofa20something.blogspot.com/2011/02/whats-in-name.html

I watch monkeys for a living! I really do.it's fun! Wednesday, February 09, 2011. What's in a name? I don't understand it really. But it's just the way I am. I do all my best thinking either in the shower, or when brushing my teeth. When I say 'best thinking' I don't mean that I come up with solutions to food security or world peace, but rather that this is when my brain tends to really get it's hands dirty, regardless of the idea in question. I just have yet to meet one that wasn't. So prospective paren...

Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Look at my blog. It’s all writing, writing, writing. Where’s the appeal in that? There’s no bang for your buck or instant gratification, no wonder Jessica’s blog is pulling ahead in the number of hits – her’s. Is all ‘ooo what a pretty picture’ and how can I compete with that? Take that Jessica, how can you ever expect your cheap Power Point tricks to compete with the likes of Paris Hilton? 8211; that ubiquitous blonde that represents, represents. Why the fascination, and wh.

yeah, that was cool

Yeah, that was cool. Monday, May 28, 2007. Yeah, that was cool. What does it mean to be human? Has been rattling through my head this year. That and, 'What does it mean to be spiritual? In some small sense this blog, this 365 project has been a exploration, a representation of those ideas. Rarely has there only been one cool thing each day and even in the sad times there's always been something that I can see my blessedness in. Indeed I am truly blessed. That Was Deep! | Where pop culture and criticism go for a dip

Where pop culture and criticism go for a dip. January 4, 2015. You know that saying in sports when a player gets hurt and is on the ground all pathetic looking and s/he gets up and limps along? And then everybody says variations of “walk it off”? In life, when you’re crazy busy and stressed, it might be a good idea to dance it off. In. Don’t know how? If you’re not up to Bé, then do the Cristina and Meredith thing. Regardless, it’s best when it looks like this:. Tags: not that deep. January 3, 2015.

OH MY BLOG, that was delicious!

OH MY BLOG, that was delicious! January 16, 2012. Well, I did make this chicken in Australia, and therefore it must be a chook? Of those 27 days, 12 were spent at our home in Adelaide. We went on a lot of adventures while here, had some great lunches, but every single night but one was spent at my house. That's 11 dinners in a row - with not a lot of time for prep in a given day. If you know me, you'd know I didn't take this task lightly. 1 can of beer at room temperature. 2 tsp chile powder. 4 Carefully...
