Monday, October 06, 2014. A trip to Kaas Plateau. Was once described as painting with light. No prizes for guessing what's there in this blog. An amazing journey into the nature, and the reflections captured by my DSLR. Readers, are you reading between the lines? Does this sound like a gifting idea ;-). This time I was with a group of people on the spiritual path. We were accompanied by our Guru (an evolved soul) who would prefer anonymity and a highly advanced disciple. Evolved souls like our Gu...We st...

Forts of Sahyadri: Shades of Sahyadri

Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Trekking and photography goes hand in hand for most trekkers. Adding philosophical touch, as the readers tell me, seems to be the USP of my blogs. For a change, here is a photo blog. No details around trekking and no philosophy. These photos were captured around Pune. Places include Torna, Rajgad, Shivthar Ghal, Telbail, Kavdi, Lohgad and Purandar. I have intentionally placed the low resolution images so that the blog is bandwidth friendly. Pune sky during June.

Forts of Sahyadri: December 2014
http://thefortsofsahyadri.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2014. A quick trek to Korlai Fort. It was noon time. I was caught in an extremely complex traffic jam. Two 4 wheelers facing each other were blocking each other from going forward. I was driving one of those two. The other was driven by an equally 'competent' driver :-). There was no room left for both of us to navigate. It was matter of few inches. It was a classic dead lock. How would you respond to this situation? I chose to be happy :-). Hope you got it ;-). From here, the roa...

Friday, May 09, 2014. River rafting in Kundalika river - part 1. Thanks to the mega NH-4 highway, one can travel from Mumbai to Banglore without seeing anything! Every time I hit this road, such thoughts come to my mind. Thankfully, today we had nothing to do with this road. A brief encounter at Chandani Chowk and that's all. We were on a different track. On the Mulshi Road. On this way. We reached the main office of the rafting agency at around 7:45 and parked the vehicle. One is to get a chauffer drive...

Saturday, May 25, 2013. A quick trek to Tung aka Kathin Gad. Tung fort in Sahyadri. Being in Software Product Development field, most of my weekdays are spent in an AC office, with no connection to nature. I mean we do have plants in the office but I still wonder whether they are real or artificial. BTW I have heard that some married people need approval from their better half, luckily I am not one amongst them. So no approvals! On a side note, I became a people manager recently and the first thing I rea...

Forts of Sahyadri: April 2014

Tuesday, April 22, 2014. A quick trek to Pratapgad. 8220;At 4 AM, most of the people who are driving a vehicle on the Pune-Satara road are the ones who HAVE to. I am a different case. I WANT to.” Self dialog, at 4 AM. Early morning is a good time for self discovery, and self dialog. The challenge was CRAZY. All CRAZY things are like that. When you say you will do it, people think. You are CRAZY. Then you do it, and people are convinced. That you are CRAZY. Enough of philosophy for now, interestingly thes...
