and she came to JERUSALEM: JORDAN!!! Woot Woot

http://natalieslifeinjerusalem.blogspot.com/2012/07/jordan-woot-woot.html

And she came to JERUSALEM. Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Last week I had the amazing opportunity to spend four days in Jordan. There are many things that I learned and many new things I experienced. Here is a short list of what Jordan taught me:. I had NO idea what hot really was! One day it was around 110 degrees IN THE SHADE! Yep talk about hot! And even a little bit humid! Jordan roads are horrible! For a period of three hours straight, I felt like I was on a roller coaster! This is the mosaic map. The...

http://natalieslifeinjerusalem.blogspot.com/2012/06/passover-seder-meal.html

And she came to JERUSALEM. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Last week we celebrated the Passover by having a Passover Seder Meal. Ophir (our Israel teacher) came with his daughter and we went through the ritual Passover Seder Meal. It was so interesting and fun. The meal was delicious and I learned a lot about the Jewish religion. This was my place setting. It was a pretty fancy night here in the Oasis! This is most of my table: Natalie, Rachel, Me, Alyssa, Pam, and AJ. What a good lookin' bunch! Oh ya I DO.

http://natalieslifeinjerusalem.blogspot.com/2012/06/hezekiahs-tunnel-break-from-blistering.html

And she came to JERUSALEM. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Hezekiah's Tunnel: a break from the blistering sun. What could possibly be a better solution for a hot day in Jerusalem? Nothing but the one and only Hezekaih's Tunnel: originally built as water storage/constant source of water for the City of David, now used as source of fun and relief from heat for JC students. It was so fun and definitely needed. The water at first truly was cold but it felt oh soooo goooood! Ok so we had to do it! Look at how conde...

And she came to JERUSALEM. Thursday, June 27, 2013. Galilee: 11 days of stunning. I had the amazing opportunity to spend 11 days in Galilee. We actually moved our entire "university lifestyle" to Galilee. All of us students, all of the teachers, all of their families, and all of our fun loaded on busses and headed up to Galilee. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. 8220;Well, you never knew exactly how much space you occupied in people's lives. Yet from this fog his affection emerged- the best contacts are when one knows the obstacles and still wants to preserve a relation.”. F Scott Fitzgerald, Tender is the Night. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Our last field trip was hot. Literally and figuratively. We saw where Samson was born, where David killed Goliath, as well as some great underground cisterns and pigeon places. Place where Samson was born.

חיי בירושלים: pre-galilee AND loving Galilee!

http://haileygardner.blogspot.com/2012/07/pre-galilee-and-loving-galilee.html

Thursday, July 19, 2012. Pre-galilee AND loving Galilee! Jumpin in the jc. This girl here, best friend forever and ever. Finally we got into the secret garden! There is a little locked gate on the other side of Gethsemane. The priest has been really strict about letting anyone in. We had to call people, fill out paper work, and a lot of other things just to get in, but we finally did it! Friends in the secret garden. Me, Devery and Joe in Nazareth, where Jesus grew up! I'm seeing the COOLEST things.

It's crazy how we can visit some burning hot, desolate land and feel the spirit. Our professor's are so great at explaining the scriptural and historical events from each location and then giving an awesome devotional that always brings the spirit right in. Monday, April 30, 2012. Since we observe the Sabbath (Shabbat), on Saturday's here.Sunday's are our free day! We woke up nice and early ( we always do) and went on the ramparts walk. It goes all the way around the old city so we had a really great view of everything! After that we went to the Western (or wailing) wall which is the most sacred place for the Jewish people. They're so faithful and not afraid to worship in front of everyone, I feel like I could learn a lot from their devotion! It is traditio...
