The Babbling Mummy

Wednesday, 25 July 2012. I have decided that I’m not going to blog here any more. My last post was in March, and since then I haven’t had the inclination to blog. It’s hard, because I love The Babbling Mummy, but I think we’ve drifted apart. Too many real life friends know about it, and I’m not sure I want them to know about the crazy inner me! I will keep the blog open and continue to review at The Babbling Mummy Reviews. Posted by Clare W. Links to this post. Thursday, 15 March 2012. Miss B started nur...

The Babbling Mummy: The MADS 2010

http://www.thebabblingmummy.co.uk/2010/09/mads-2010.html

Saturday, 18 September 2010. This is a semi sponsored post! On Monday we all set off to The Ocean Hotel at Butlins. Bognor Regis for the Mum and Dad Blogger Awards 2010. The kids were very excited and we had our very first ‘are we nearly there yet? 8217; from Little S. It only took a couple of hours to get there and when we did, we were warmly greeted by an enthusiastic Red Coat. We checked into the hotel straight away. After saying hello to Sally from Who’s The Mummy. We were given a fantastic goody bag...

The Babbling Mummy: Can I have an apple phone please Mummy?

http://www.thebabblingmummy.co.uk/2009/10/can-i-have-apple-phone-please-mummy.html

Tuesday, 13 October 2009. Can I have an apple phone please Mummy? Little S started talking about an apple phone the other day. It was on the way home from nursery so I thought he must have been talking about something there. Maybe a phone shaped like an apple? Or a direct line to the apple king? So a couple of times throughout the day, ‘I want an apple phone Mummy, can you buy me one with money? 8216;What sort of apple phone S? Is it like one at nursery? 8216;Yes I have it at nursery.’. 8216;Yes S but no...

The Babbling Mummy: It’s all in the mind…

http://www.thebabblingmummy.co.uk/2009/11/its-all-in-mind.html

Sunday, 1 November 2009. It’s all in the mind…. I’m not insane, really! But I do struggle with…well…I don’t like to say mental illness, because that just makes you imagine me in a padded room with a strait jacket on doesn’t it? I suppose it’s a fear, kind of an irrational fear that, despite my best efforts, does take over my life on a regular basis. But this is my blog which is my therapy and if I didn’t write what I want and need to write, then I wouldn’t be very true to myself. However one night I got ...

The Babbling Mummy: Making a Mr Tumble cake…

http://www.thebabblingmummy.co.uk/2009/10/making-mr-tumble-cake.html

Sunday, 11 October 2009. Making a Mr Tumble cake…. Little S will be celebrating his 4th birthday on Thursday. I can’t believe that this time 4 years ago I was hugely pregnant and totally unprepared for what lay ahead. I had time to myself and time to waste. I’m a lot happier now, even if I am constantly tired/cleaning up poo and sick/cleaning/washing, etc, etc! Since roughly May this year, S has been asking for a Mr Tumble cake. I asked W if he could smell burning a few minutes later and unfortunately he...

The Babbling Mummy: Why Are My Eyes Melting, Mummy?

http://www.thebabblingmummy.co.uk/2012/01/why-are-my-eyes-melting-mummy.html

Tuesday, 24 January 2012. Why Are My Eyes Melting, Mummy? Our Little S has grown so much since starting Year 1 in September, and that’s not just his height. During his year in Reception, it was a mission to get him to read or do homework. We agreed not to force it with him. Instead we let him go at his own pace. W and I have noticed that he is struggling with his emotions lately, in particular sadness and crying. Lately, for many reasons, he has been crying more often. . 8216;My eyes are melting. The...

Not Far From the Madding Crowd: Toddler Tribulation

http://hearth-mother.blogspot.com/2015/05/toddler-tribulation.html

Not Far From the Madding Crowd. Sunday, 17 May 2015. A little snapshot of what life is like in our house if the Coco Pops run out:. It doesn't make for a great start to the day. And no, Rice Krispies with cocoa sprinkled on top does not make an effective substitute. Note to self: Keep all breakfast cereal topped up. Currently reading: Chop Chop. How I like My Coffee: 06/17/15

http://howilikemycoffee.blogspot.com/2015_06_17_archive.html

Wednesday, 17 June 2015. The Gallery - Sports. We are not a sporty family, we do very little 'sport'. The most sporty thing that happens is my husband rides his bike to work. My eldest is starting to experience lots of new sports at school and my youngest, loves dancing and is turning into a bit of a gymnast as a result and go into a bridge from a handstand unaided. Something I never managed to achieve. So it is lovely when my family and friends get together and suddenly some impromptu sport happens.

How I like My Coffee: 05/08/15

http://howilikemycoffee.blogspot.com/2015_05_08_archive.html

Friday, 8 May 2015. Work, Life, Home, Kids. Whilst I have been off work I have been home to see my girls when they come home from school. I have heard about their days, I know what homework they have and when they need to do it by. I have cooked dinners, healthy family dinners with secret vegetables smuggled inside sauces. I have got to know my children better, and realised that they are growing up into fine young ladies. They have their own views and thoughts on all sorts of things. I like nice things a...

A brass statue touched much. Sunlight shows the hue. 169; J.Langan. 169; J.Langan. A small poem for Lola. And then the sink burped. 169; J.Langan. Holding back the rain. I am holding back the rain. French, Mumpreneur, Personalised Chocolate. Tuesday, 5 January 2010. Miss you Linea Nigra, Miss you pre-preggo tummy. While dressing up today, I discovered my Linea Nigra had disappeared, you know the dark line that runs from under the chest to below the navel in mostly dark skinned pregnant women. I had been a bit concerned it was still there especially since DD is now well over 1 year old. Saturday, 2 January 2010. Easter chocolates on supermarket shelves. The Babbling Idiot | Life is a tale told by an idiot. Here's mine.

Life is a tale told by an idiot. Here's mine. Those who know me well know that I’m a pretty easy-going guy. Not a lot really bothers me. I try not to get too upset about stuff and I do my best not to judge others. But I do have a few pet peeves and things that set my blood boiling. And I’m very vocal (some would say annoyingly so) about them. Also, redundancy is fun and also redundant. Someone needs to tell Chris Berman that tundra. Is, by definition, frozen.
