On the east coast of Bonaire lies a windsurfing Mecca. On the south end of Lac Bay you'll find a long sandy beach area, called Sorobon. This is where you'll find all the windsurfing action of Bonaire. Beginners and world champions freestyle windsurfing mix and show their skills in front of a resort and two beach bars. Bonaire s top shop is world-famous Bonaire Windsurf Place and is the only locally owned and operated windsurf shop. Located on the windward side of the island in an area known as Sorobon, at Lac Bay. At Sorobon, the water is shallow and warm, with steady trade winds, and a beautiful beach perfect conditions for catching some wind in your sails and claiming the freedom of the water in a sheltered and safe environment. The owners of Bonaire Windsurf Place have great experience dating back to 1987.
