He described his last two weeks as feeling isolated and having no sense of community. I immediately asked when was the last Dads Playgroup youve been to? He conceded that it had been a while. Thursday, February 22, 2007. I ended up going back to Safeway Sunday night. I spoke with the manager on duty and she took my name and number telling me that some one would get in touch with me on Monday. My mistake to let her off the hook that easily. Its 10pm on Wednesday night. Neither of my attempts to complain have earned a reply. Tomorrow things heat up. unless I lose control of the day and find that 10pm arrives. So yesterday Im recapping our day with The Wife and I casually complain about the $5 I spent on a beer at the post dads-group lunch we had with two other dads and their kids. With the beer it was a $22 lunch. Grossly extravagant in our world. She proceeds to to tell me how alcohol and playgroups have been in the news recently. To my astonishment, The Today Show and the blogging world have been.

Sunday, February 18, 2007. You are NOT going to believe this. Ill try to keep this brief and convey my outrage. The fridge was bare. Very clean but bare nonetheless. I had a list that pretty much read: get one of everything. I took the girls to our local Safeway. The Bean was being a pill.
