My granny was in hospice. On Sunday night (early Monday morning), the nurses helped her up to the restroom. As she awoke, she spoke to the nurses and as we now know, her last words were, “Don’t let me fall.”. As we observed her burial, the pastor (unknowingly) shared some verses, one of which was Jude 24-25. Spoke to my heart.

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. A lifetime of friendship. We have been friends for over two and half decades. We laugh together at things most people would not. Think was funny. We introduce each other to new friends and STILL share unnecessary stories of the past including embarrassing nicknames. We are brutally honest to the point that sometimes we wish maybe we weren't. BUT, we also know each other well enough to tell each other when we just don't want to hear the truth…. Or NOW is just not the time!

Saturday, May 30, 2015. What does summer look like? Playing all day outside. A garden full of summer vegetables and fruit. Fields of strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. It also means the kids no longer have school,. This doesn't take long to equal. What are we doing next? In attempt to prevent my kids from falling into the pits of unscheduled mayhem, I had each child write 5 goals to achieve this summer and 5 places they would like to go. I was pleasantly surprised by their goals.

Monday, July 20, 2015. It is well…with my soul. At our Christmas party last year, my grandmother was very sick. She was admitted to the hospital and then to a rehabilitation center. We got to see the fighter in my grandmother rise up. She was back home within a very short amount of time.
