The Book of Liz: December 2012
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 1, 2012. Today was one of those days where I felt like I pretty much had it together. We had Skyped with Daddy this morning, and Christopher was awake for the call. We went to the library to get some new library books for Sammy. We spent the afternoon enjoying the sunshine at the playground. In retrospect, I should have set the timer for 7 or 8 minutes, checked them, and then left them in longer if the bread crumbs still needed to brown. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Book of Liz: May 2012
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 12, 2012. Here's a short interview with Sammy. She has news. Enjoy! Saturday, May 5, 2012. Fun with Shaving Cream. We started out with three bowls with some shaving cream in them. Next I squirted in some gel food coloring. I let Sammy do most of the mixing. We had a red/pink one a blue one, and a yellow one. The consistency was actually kind of silky, like flour or fine play sand, but if you squeezed it it would clump together. I managed to make a pretty decent "snowball" at one point.

The Book of Liz: July 2011
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. As you can tell by my recent lack of posts, summer has finally arrived in Washington State. While the rest of the country has been suffering in sweltering heat, we have been freezing up here! Now that temperatures are finally in the 70s, the Vogt family has been taking full advantage. When she drives toy cars around, but it comes out, "Yo, Yo, Yoooooo! My other current favorite is yogurt, which she pronounces "yoyuck". This is funny because she actually loves it. I try to correct h...

The Book of Liz: Christopher David's Birth Story
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2012/10/christopher-davids-birth-story.html
Friday, October 5, 2012. Christopher David's Birth Story. After my quick and uncomplicated birth experience with Samantha, I decided to look into a home birth for baby # 2. We really lucked out and ended up moving to a house only 20 minutes away from the only home birth midwife in the area. Cleaned up and sleeping soundly. Loved reading your birth story.Yes, you were definitely a homebirth candidate! November 25, 2012 at 10:40 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lilypie Third Birthday tickers.

The Book of Liz: Sammy's Third Birthday Interview
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2012/10/sammys-third-birthday-interview.html
Sunday, October 14, 2012. Sammy's Third Birthday Interview. I saw this cute idea. On Pinterest to ask your kiddos the same 20 questions around their birthday each year starting when they're 3, and then have them all made into a book eventually. Here's Sammy's first installment. 1 What is your favorite color? 2 What is your favorite toy? 3 What is your favorite fruit? 4 What is your favorite tv show? 5 What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Mac and Cheese and Chicken Nuggets. Care Bear and Ribbit.

The Book of Liz: January 2012
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 21, 2012. Our family has not completely dropped off the face of the planet, our lives have just been incredibly hectic lately! I'm not going to try to catch up with everything since the last post, but I'll try to hit the high points. We had inteded to stay with Bill and Jo for a week or two, but the house hunt proved to be much more complicated than we anticipated. We found a really great neighborhood, but kept barely missing out on houses. Apparently BRAC (Base Realignment and ...Hopef...

The Book of Liz: The Best Laid Plans
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-best-laid-plans.html
Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The Best Laid Plans. Never a dull moment at the Vogt house! Most of our friends and family know what's been going on recently, but I thought I'd put it here too. The biggest change would have to be that Pat is currently in Afghanistan for a year-long deployment. The deployment was very unexpected, and kind of had us scrambling to fit in some quality family time and get things ready for Baby Vogt that we didn't think needed to be done until September/October. Speaking of Little ...

Friday, August 19, 2011. This is one of those posts that Samantha will probably be very unhappy about when she's 13. Saturday, August 6, 2011. I think that Samantha may have discovered the secret to perpetual motion. That would explain why she never. stops. moving! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lilypie Third Birthday tickers. The Book of Liz: Hurricane Sandy
http://thebookofliz.blogspot.com/2012/11/hurricane-sandy.html
Thursday, November 1, 2012. Grandma had left a bunch of little wrapped toys for Sammy for tough days, so I let her open one (a treasure chest). We spent hours opening and closing the lock and hiding our treasure from Captain Hook. Keeping Christopher warm by covering him with the baby doll quilt Grandma had made. Christopher is not impressed. Dance party with a battery-powered CD player to get the blood flowing and stay warm! Playing with the water beads once they were fully grown. So fun! I'm a proud Ar...
