The Book of Po

The Book of Po. Monday, November 30, 2009. The front page of the NT News today read 'Boat rescues 500kg cow', yesterday it was 'Man drives over explosives to see what happens'. Nowhere else. This morning on my ride I saw a man start beating up a woman, kicking her while she was on the ground, and then I went to work to work on my little, segregated section of the issue. Snot. The kids I get to work with are cheeky, confident, keen and cute. Aargh, what lives will they be living in 10 years time? And fina...

The Book of Po: August 2008

http://www.thebookofpo.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

The Book of Po. Friday, August 15, 2008. Following a tip off from one of my classmates, today we caught the train out to Versailles with our bikes and a couple of scribbles on a map to find some tracks to ride. What fun! There wasn't heaps out there, but there were some fun, fast, flowy sections in between pretty, peaceful fireroads. Perfect for rigid forks, 27" wheels and 95psi, I wasn't after too much more. A happy, wide-eyed Jarrad, obviously excited after being deprived of regular singletrack. Me and...

The Book of Po: a Parisian aout

http://www.thebookofpo.blogspot.com/2008/08/parisian-aout.html

The Book of Po. Monday, August 11, 2008. So it's August and we're in Paris. The bikes have been exchanged for trusty, indestructible Velibs and the tent for a set of keys and 4 walls. While attending french classes, we're sub-sub-letting Joe's appartement in the 14e and, well, here are a few snapshots of what it's been all about, starting with a view outside the window and down the rue. A wall of apartments just near the Sacre Coeur. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Through My New Lens. Sunday, February 8, 2009. Working on the beach. Through My New Lens. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Syndey Harbour by Night. A few weeks ago (actually, maybe it was a month or two ago.) we were up in Sydney for the weekend. So, nothing like heading out and taking photos at night of the bay :). Links to this post. Congratulations to Amy and Andy. I got the privilege of shooting Amy and Andy's wedding on the 27th September 2008. I was shooting Amy and the girls preparing, the ceremony and the posed group shots afterwards for Blurr Photographics. Had I got...

Through My New Lens: Advertising

http://throughmynewlens.blogspot.com/2009/02/advertising.html

Through My New Lens. Monday, February 16, 2009. About November last year I stopped advertising on Google. Reason was that my website was in a mess, resulting in people coming to the website via the ad and then leaving straight away - ie. money down the drain. So, the task over xmas was to redo the website. Well, it took longer than expected. One thing that caught my interest last night was Google Insights for Search. The above table/graph is for the Canberra region. The Australian wide set of top sea...

http://throughmynewlens.blogspot.com/2009/02/canberra-wedding-expo.html

Through My New Lens. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. I exhibited at the Canberra Wedding Expo. On the 1st of February. There was a huge turnout, I heard there was around 2000 people turn up. There were heaps of booths, especially photographers and everyone was pretty busy all day. I created a stop-motion video of Brent and I setting up the booth, check it out here. And a range of testimonials. Was it worth it though? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Website: T8 Photography. View my complete profile.

Through My New Lens: Goals for 2009

http://throughmynewlens.blogspot.com/2009/02/goals-for-2009.html

Through My New Lens. Monday, February 9, 2009. There's some stuff I don't want to be public information, but the stuff that I don't mind is:. Book a lot more weddings (need to do more advertising). Get a new Mac (faster, more storage and bigger screen). Update the office furniture as the current stuff is pretty horrible. Upgrade one body to full frame, probably a D700. Add a couple more lenses to the collection, hopefully a 24-70mm f/2.8 to go with the D700. Do some more camping and travelling.

Through My New Lens. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. I went and saw the photos from the wedding shoot on Friday, and I was pretty blown away - they were fantastic. Ben was entering one into a competition; the groom was looking out of a window, down to the bride below; the wall was covered in ivy leaves which had turned an autumn red. Links to this post. Saturday, May 10, 2008. Anyway, was an awesome experience. Ben (from Fusion Photography. A few things to remember:. Take detailed pictures of invitations, decorat...

The Book of Pointless. Thursday, July 12, 2012. DIY: Make your own nail polish! So call me crazy, but I am not going to purchase all of this seasons "hot" nail polish colors. Why? Glad you asked. Third, even if the color comes back in style in a year or two a lot of polish will go bad (separate) by then. White OPI nail polish. Use the oth...
