Après 2 heures de route et 1heure de queue à la frontière (à choisir, ne jamais aller aux États le 1er jour d'un long week-end). Vue sur le Mont Cascade. Et commence notre ascension. Le Citron pavot de Starbucks! Bref, un de mes pêchés mignons dans ce genre de lieu et notamment chez Starbucks (celui de Second Cup est pas mal aussi), c'est le gâteau citron-pavot. Il est presque parfait. Je dis presque, parce qu'il y a dessus un léger glaçage royal, et moi j'aime pas le glaçage. Comme on a pas toujours un Starbucks sous la main, je me suis mise en quête de trouver une recette approchant de ce petit délice. J'ai fait plusieurs essais, et je pense avoir trouvé une recette plutôt pas mal.

L'un des plaisirs de vivre à la campagne et d'avoir un jardin, c'est faire de temps à autres des rencontres incongrues. La dernière en date: un petit hérisson, qui, prit d'une soif brûlante au beau milieu de l'après -midi, est parti en expédition pour se désaltérer dans le bassin. Il s'est trouvé que j'étais par hasard dans le secteur, l'occasion. De gagater(oui, je parle au hérisson). Bichon (oui je lui ai donné un nom) cherche le meilleur spot pour boire un coup. Pour éviter qu'ils ne se fassent écraser.

Au nom de la rose! Comme je l'avais dit dans mon billet de novembre dernier. Je suis retournée à Grignan pour profiter de leur collection de rosiers anciens. J'ai attendu début juin pour y aller, en espérant voir un maximum de fleurs. Hélàs c'étaient déjà un poil trop tard, certains rosiers étaient déjà tous fanés. mais il en restait un certain nombre pour assurer le spectacle. La nature reprend toujours le dessus.
