Thursday, January 30, 2014. Sylvia's kindergarten class had a party to celebrate the end of the first half of school. The other room moms and I helped out. We made popsicle stick snowflakes, beaded candy cane ornaments and played a Build a Snowman dice game. The kids enjoyed snack as well as books about snow. We ended the party with a tissue paper "snowball" fight requested by Ms. Jensen. Monday, January 27, 2014. Thursday, January 23, 2014. Wednesday, January 22, 2014. 1 1/4 cup flour. 1/2 T baking soda.

Monday, July 14, 2014. The Horn kindergartners took a walking field trip to Kiwanis Park to celebrate the end of the school year. I joined them for the walk and Grandma and Grandpa brought the boys over to join us. The kids enjoyed picnic lunches, lots and lots of playtime, group pictures and popsicles. Sunday, October 5, 2014. Nana joined us this summer for our annual trip to the Niabi Zoo back in July. The kids enjoyed showing her around on her first trip there and I appreciated the extra help. I didn't take many pictures with the animals but we did get to hear the lion roar loudly and the giraffes were out and about to look at. We started off on a train ride. The kids each feed the lorikeets. They were entertained when one of the birds went potty on a man that was trying to feed it. Life as We Know It.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012. The kids had a great time going to the pumpkin patch this year. We really like the one in Atkins, Iowa. It is a little pricey, but there is a lot to do! Jumping on the bouncy pillow - Elizabeth's favorite activity. Riding bikes - David's favorite activity. Riding around in barrels while a tractor pulled them. Going on a hayrack ride - mommy's favorite - It was a BEAUTIFUL day! My two not-so-little-anymore pumpkins! A picture with Daddy in it - that is a feat!

Saturday, October 27, 2012. Let the fun begin. Decorating pumpkins with daddy! He is the best carver ever! I will post a final picture when we actually light them on Wednesday night. Fun at the Rec center on Friday night - we also went to the IMU with the Greeks on Sunday afternoon. It was a great weekend of Halloween crafts, candy, costumes, and carving! David is in the Iron Man costume! Elizabeth is a peacok. It was one of my favorite costumes. The photo doesn't do it justice!
