Red Rabbit's Life. International health, life in the boonies, family doc stuff… musings from rural Canada. Posted by: sayamika, the killer bunny. The evil family member. Recently, our local cardiologist called me up. “So, you know that nice guy that we saw recently with the kind of nonspecific chest pain? Well, his stress was positive as it turns out, so I was going to admit him.”. 8220;You were going to? 8220;Sure. So, what’s going on? 8220;Wow. Families, huh? I still think an experienced physician call...

Pathologists are people too. Friday, June 15, 2007. Who thinks of these ideas? Posted by Dr K @ 4:29 pm. Sunday, June 03, 2007. I got an email from the BMA this week. Periodically I have been getting emails from them in the last few months telling me what they’re doing for junior doctors. Before that I got the occasional email trying to sell me their financial services. But this week, for the first time, I got an email from the BMA asking me to fill in a survey about what I thought of MMC. The little bla...

It grew what? | Red Rabbit's Life

Red Rabbit's Life. International health, life in the boonies, family doc stuff… musings from rural Canada. Posted by: sayamika, the killer bunny. One of the great things about being a family doc is the follow-up. Sometimes, people don’t get better as quickly as you’d expect, so you send out cultures. They aren’t always what you expect:. A lady with a persistent cough despite appropriate therapy did a sputum culture which grew. Again, the patient did well with drainage and appropriate treatment. Notify me...

Pathologists Anonymous: March 2007

Pathologists are people too. Saturday, March 24, 2007. Gone but not forgotten. Apologies to my regular reader(s) for my recent lack of posting. I've been suffering from bloggers' block. If I was more organised I'd have a small stash of pre-written and uploaded drafts so all I had to do was log in and hit the 'publish' button and nobody would know the difference. What are the causes of bloggers' block? Well in my case it's partly down to a bout of illness compounded by some bad news. Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Pathologists are people too. Sunday, October 29, 2006. Angry writes from Planet Research. I have the privilege/onerous task of being involved, albeit in a small way, with some research. It’s not an easy thing to cram into an already packed pathology training programme and much of it ends up being done in my own time. I managed to wangle some time in the research lab using a bit of study leave and I go there occasionally for meetings. My two main impressions from what I’ve seen are:. They pretty much need...

The Pill, periods and the Catholic church →. 8 March, 2009 · 7:56 pm. The delightful Jobbing Doctor has nudged me back into life after a few months’ break. Like all busy working mums who take too much on, the blogging has taken a back seat while I managed children’s birthdays, Christmas, and a very busy time at work. But it’s spring now and I have no further excuses. I’ll be back – once I’ve gathered some thoughts. The Pill, periods and the Catholic church →. 9 responses to “. 8 March, 2009 at 10:52 pm.

Tomorrow’s Doctors →. 9 May, 2011 · 5:44 pm. If you didn’t hear Dr Clare Gerada of the Royal College of General Practitioners on BBC Radio 4 Today Programme this morning, you should.
