The places I’ve been. July 20, 2013. I’m a dreamer and love to imagine all the places I want to go, sites I want to see, adventures that can only be held in my memory and never properly transcribed to words. Paying off my debt is both my biggest deterrent to following my dreams of travel, while also the most motivating to actually get out of debt. Isn’t that interesting how that happens? Madrid was my very first abroad experience when I was 21 (7 years ago! I went to Spain and couldn’t understand a word.

My boss for the work half of my job gave me a small raise for the next year, starting August 1. That is.whew! I wasn't expecting it because I knew the budget was tight this year, and because I did not receive a raise last year. So many times I've wished I could quit the PhD and go back to my fun life without it constantly hanging over my head! Yep, every little bit helps.

Silver lining? I spend less when busy and/or stressed out. Eating Out and Alcohol. Income: $3,140.53. Rent has increased by $5 a month.
