Our last day trip was to the Monsal Trail. 8211; a disused railway that has been converted to a cycle path and has had the old tunnels under the hills opened up. We walked from Blackwell Mill to the blue leaf with the Number 3 on it and back again. Reuben and Amy loved walking through the tunnels. York – National Railway Museum. 13 April 2012 at 10:01 am. A place for all our stuff, thoughts and photos. York – National Railway Museum. Our second day trip of the holiday was to York. We visited the National Railway Museum. Where Reuben was in his element. Although I don’t think Reuben could take in the scale of the trains – they were just too big and so different to his little wooden trains or the trains he had seen on YouTube. He loved the turntable – standing transfixed for a good 10 minutes. Fastest Steam train in the land. Transfixed at the turntable.
