The last full-system build I did was in 2007, and at the time I decided to go completely legacy-free - I went with the BTX form factor. And other than a power-supply failure that system has been rock-solid and is still being used today (albeit now with an SSD and upgraded video). I'd been using various laptops for the last several years, and they generally have been great (except for the HP. ugh), so I also spent a. But the lack of a docking station and higher-cost ended up pushing this out of contention.
