The Displaced Louisiana Guy: Retention

http://www.thedisplacedlouisianaguy.blogspot.com/2015/07/retention.html

The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Sunday, July 19, 2015. It turned out beautifully. I mean, it was GORGEOUS! Problem was, it came out attached to the gun on the draw stroke. So I thought about that, and realized the belt clip I put on it was rather dinky. So half an hour later, I had taken it apart and installed a better belt clip. It was more of a headache than I thought it would be. July 2...

The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Sunday, August 30, 2015. The Boy-o got into bike riding earlier this summer, and insisted we take off the training wheels after learning to ride without them at Paw-Paws. We were in a bind, and Aaron offered to let me borrow a bike to ride with the Boy-o. He seemed to like it. Having awesome neighbors is hard to beat. The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Patterns, o...

The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Monday, July 13, 2015. I decided to dye the holster black. I used some iron die I had laying around. As soon as the dye dries, I can oil it and polish it. Then I just have to wait on the Venigar smell to dissipate, and I can use it! The Displaced Louisiana Guy. That holster looks great! July 16, 2015 at 8:48 PM. Beautiful work, Joey. The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Monday, November 24, 2014. I went hunting this weekend with my good friend, Greg. His family has been leasing the same acreage since 1982, and they have quite the camp. They graciously gave me a place to hunt on a well-traveled-by-deer piece of pipeline. I didnt see anything, but I had a great time. I made no meat, but had an awesome weekend, nonetheless.

My Ancestors Were Horse Thieves: May 2011

http://ahorsethief.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

My Ancestors Were Horse Thieves. Happy Birthday To Me. So, I've had a lower in need. Of an upper for quite some time. Yesterday was my birthday, and my most amazing wife decided to get me this. It's a 16" DPMS Sportical. Upper purchased from MidwayUSA. Hopefully the snow/sleet/rain will stop soon so I can take it on a test drive. I'm already thinking about changing out the handguard. Any suggestions are appreciated. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

My Ancestors Were Horse Thieves: Unexpected Christmas Gifts

http://ahorsethief.blogspot.com/2011/12/unexpected-christmas-gifts.html

My Ancestors Were Horse Thieves. I'd planned on going shooting with some of my family on Christmas Eve. After an unsuccessful duck hunt I gathered up my son, my brother, and my soon to be cousin-in-law and headed to the shooting spot by the dump. We shot the AR-15, the 15-22, and for the first time that I've owned it the Mosin Nagant. One would think he'd been hanging out with Jay G. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Ancestors Were Horse Thieves. Extractors, Ejectors, and Kel Tec. My Kel Tec P-11 repair was a bit more complicated than I anticipated. I initially called and explained that I needed an ejector. I was assured that one would go in the mail that day. Soon after, I got a package in the mail. Excited to get my P-11 back in working order I ripped open the package, only to find a P-11 extractor. PawPaw's House: Savage 110

http://pawpawshouse.blogspot.com/2012/07/savage-110.html

Friday, July 06, 2012. Has my scope gone south? Is the sun in my eyes, or the wind playing tricks? That composite target reveals ten (10) shots in under two inches, centered one inch over the aiming point. If my calculations are correct, that lets me shoot a game animal at about 250 yards and hold on hair the whole time. There is not a lot wrong with that for hunting purposes. Minute of deer out to 250 yards, with a hunting rifle, an un-bedded hunting rifle using a $200.00 scope. View my complete profile.

Thursday, 11 September 2014. Three years later and a lot's changed in The Shire. Well Where to start. Suffice to say things worked out rather differently to how they were supposed to. 1) I got Very Depressed, stuck with no friends, a tricky child, and eventually a job that I ended up hating. 2) TMM got fed up with me and left. 3) We are now divorced. 4) We both have new partners. 5) The children, now 6 and 9, love our new partners. 8) I'm pretty darn happy, finally. And working on keeping it that way.
