Carol's World: The magic of Fowey
http://carolslifeinmotion.blogspot.com/2011/05/magic-of-fowey.html
Monday, May 16, 2011. The magic of Fowey. I spent this weekend enjoying the special charm that is Fowey, Cornwall and the Daphne du Maurier Festival. This was my fourth time to visit Fowey for the festival. I went first in 2007 for the centenary conference as part of the research for my MA dissertation. On that occasion I stayed in the beautiful Fowey Hotel, as everywhere else was booked out. It was a wonderful experience and has become a very special place to me. And I had a delicious meal there too, so...

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your visit and leave with a smile! Friday, 20 March 2015. Partial Solar Eclipse.* *. I thought it was going to be to cloudy here at my little house on a hill to see the eclipse, but this is what I saw . The clouds parted and the light dimmed with unearthly feel fell across my garden . And the moon moved in front of the sun ,there was a stillness in the air a magical moment in time. I felt very alone and privileged to have witnessed this spectacle . It looks mag...

With Grace & Judy: February 2012
http://withgraceandjudy.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
With Grace and Judy. The things that inspire us. A night in Cornwall. Husband and I were feeling a little blue after returning from our 9 week adventure in India ( more on that another time). So to stop us feeling sad we decided to book a night away in Cornwall. I found a lovely B and B online called The Dwelling House. Was everything that we hoped it would be, shabby chic furniture, with a roll top bath in the room, amazing teas that we had never heard of and a cream tea or cake and coffee on arrival!

MIDSUMMER IN PAR – thisisgranny

June 29, 2015. June 29, 2015. After two very exciting and action packed holidays earlier in the year Grandad and I decided to do what so many people do – go on holiday in Cornwall. We decided a week here. We did some great things and really benefitted from knowing the area. We started the week by visiting Bugle Band Contest. Who would think that there is an authentic American Diner slap bang in the middle of Clay Country, I bet most people thought the only thing of any note was the Eden Project! We ate s...

Claire's Bears and other stuff: July 2012
http://clairesbearsandotherstuff.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 July 2012. It was my 26th birthday last Wednesday and I had a lovely week including afternoon tea, dinner in a field (which I'll blog about another day) and culminating in a party on Saturday. I received so many lovely presents: a microphone from my husband, a drinks dispenser from my mother-in-law and the cast iron pot. Party in a tent. We played lots of board-games, had a bbq (with s'mores. At the end) and somebody even went swimming in the river that runs through our village! Special thanks...
