Friday, October 31, 2014. Fall and Halloween are some of my favorite times of the year. I love decorating, the crispness in the air, and all the excitement from the kids. It's just an exciting time. Here are a few of our decorations this year. The theme of the front porch this year was old jail. You've got the sheriff and his deputy playing checkers while the bad guy hangs. Monday, January 19, 2015. In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day the kids didn't have school. So, we went sledding instead! We went out to a hill in Sugar City and we had it all to ourselves. It was so much fun watching the kids gleefully giggle and scream down the hill and then march right back up it again. Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Tonight was Matthew's Pinewood Derby. He and his dad made his car and they were excited to see how it would race. It didn't do as good as he hoped but he didn't get last place either! I think he had a fun night and his car was one of the few that made it through the loop-de-loop at the end! Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Winter is probably (ok, definitely) my least favorite season. I don't like being cold and I don't like worrying about everyone driving on the crazy roads. The one thing that makes it bearable is that it's pretty. Fresh snow is pretty but frozen fog is so, so beautiful. I could just stare at it for hours, preferably when I'm not driving! Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband had a concert at BYU-I and that's where we went.
