Just another WordPress.com weblog. Reflections on assigment 2. September 28, 2007. I’ve just read mr. reddy’s favourite blog : nolayoursisnicer. And i think his JC shots were simply amazing. to be fair, i haven’t been looking at other blogs much and i have yet to post up photos of assignment 3; yet looking at the other photos from the other people in my class, i feel i probably have to work a lot harder. Against the rest of the photos for assignment in the other classes, i rate myself a 7. i particul...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. August 30, 2007. I called this progression. In class, but now when i look at it with the intention of giving this photogram a name, i think i should call it move: nowhere. As i mentioned, i wanted very much to create a realistic photograph from simple shapes on the scanner and this one is the one that came closest to realism. i have many other embarrassing attempts of which i will upload one just for laughs; equally abstract yet un-conceptual and unexplainable.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. October 14, 2007. My laptop unfortunately crashed on me four days ago, and hence i’m not able to upload pictures from assignment 5. My expressionist shot was merely a picture of change, my dad’s hand obviously symbolised his desire to somehow influence my life, and the wall being my life. it was not an expression of creeping of any sort. Perhaps i just don’t have the “camera eye”, but that’s something i will have to work on. Blog at WordPress.com.

Saturday, November 24, 2007. Assignment 7 : In-dependence (Stage 3). Assignment 7 : In-dependence (Stage 2). After thinking about sense of comfort and how I could go about taking the photos in the Singapore context, I decided on 4D after more clarifications from Mr Reddy. In Singapore, 4D is quite prominent and even some young people engage in the activity. I think many people see it as a form of leisure and there are different sorts of dependence in this case. Laura Through the Looking Lens
View my complete profile. Sunday, October 12, 2014. I was expecting fall colors, but they were so amazingly rich. This picture almost, but not quite, does it justice. Ok, I just couldn't resist this one in back and white, despite the fall colors. I love the strong lines in it and the punctuation of the waning moon in the morning sky. Many of the pines were decorated in aspen leaves and looked quite festive. This glorious scene was taken near the summit. Snow on top already! Links to this post. Oh, and If...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. Evaluation for assignment 4 and 6. December 2, 2007. The Day After Tomorrow:. Also, I try to keep things simple because I get too confused working with too many elements, that is also perhaps why a lot of my photographs have simple compositions, but there can also be depth in simplicity and my photos still lack that depth. November 24, 2007. Overdue “change” and evaluation. November 24, 2007. It feels that photography may not be the thing for me. November 17, 2007.
