The motor scooter diaries. Friday, October 2, 2009. Well, home at last. The last few days of the trip have been a blur amost. After leaving Alice Springs on Sunday, had a long ride to Coober Pedy. Not much in the countryside on the way either. First stop (fuel) was a little roadhouse at Stuart's Well, where there is a tourist camel-farm and also, at the roadhouse. a singing dingo called dinky, pictured above. He plays the piano as well, as you can see. (no, really, he does.). 1 There's no place like home.

A few months ago an old acquaintance of mine, Ian H, contacted me to say he and another friend of his (David H) were riding to Alice Springs for the Ulysses Club AGM, in May this year.
