48 state, day 62. Johnson City, TN. Asymp; Leave a comment. Today was a good riding day. I went through the back roads of West Virginia on the most twisted roads I have ever seen. Over 100 miles of them which took almost four hours. Tennessee, ends my last westward swing, tomorrow I set the NAV to Melbourne and head for home. Yep, those Hatfield’s. Blog at WordPress.com. 48 state, day 64. Melbourne, FL. Asymp; Leave a comment. Today was the final day. I was going to stop in Jacksonville but when I got there the weather was good and being only three hours from home I decided to go on. The day was a long one, 430 miles with the last 100 in the rain. In the summer in Florida you always have to make a choice about rain, get wet or put on the rain suite and get wet from sweat. I chose the rain today. Thanks everybody for following along as I lived a dream. Asymp; 1 Comment.

48 state, day 54. Lexington, MA. Asymp; Leave a comment. Today was a short riding day as far as miles (100 miles, 160 km ) so I decided to take the country roads and enjoy the day. I also wanted to find a land crossing into Massachusetts. The weather was over caste and cool but a nice riding day. The back roads were slow and congested but the views were great. The rain stayed away long enough for me to get to the hotel but when I went to eat the rains came. New Hampshire back country. Larr; Previous post.
