Who is on the poetry path? Peaceful Protest →. February 11, 2012 · 12:30 pm. Change, metamorphosis, is happening all the time. Just now, I could change my mind. I might go from a Socialist Muslim,. To a Capitalist, or a Democratic-minded Judeao-Christian,. Or a Warlock Pagan, castin’ spells on an astral plane. How’s that for change? Change compels me to write another line,. And is the subtle essence of the rhyme. I might decide to meditate;. If you see me please wait. And please don’t interrupt.

Who is on the poetry path? Bust the Lock →. January 24, 2015 · 4:30 pm. Make a reasoned argument. But those pants don’t match that shirt. That’s a valid value judgment. But, get ready, here comes the dirt. Very few see the folly. Of a character assassination. Distracting the jury is not. A clear path to nullification. Make a point already. Stop gawking at the nude king. Keep shaking hands steady. Eyes fixed on that gold ring. Take stock in a fact. Fade, finally, to black. Bust the Lock →. Ursula K Le Guin.

Who is on the poetry path? My new 500px gallery. February 5, 2012 · 2:56 pm. I’m incubating in the belly of a whale of a metaphor;. Sittin’ here with Dylan, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.”. I got ripped away from love; I’m feelin meltdown at my core. Just starin’ into the water, wishin I knew what was in store…. The winds of change blow shadows up the walls that I’ve created. My mind takes aim in meditation at the very ground of my being. Swimmin in the water of life is drownin’ me this evening. This Modern...

Who is on the poetry path? January 24, 2015 · 4:32 pm. Bust the lock right off the door. C’est la vie from today no more. Just tonight the dead can’t dance. Remembering an art form’s renaissance. You’ve got me chasing dreams. Dreams that I had forgotten about. Dreams I dreamed ten years ago. In a time when there was no doubt. You’re a bad influence. But even a bad influence. Drowns out deafening silence. Gale force wind chimes. Hinting just near sublime. Peace is never far from right. A gun shot blast.

Who is on the poetry path? Newer posts →. January 8, 2015 · 6:26 am. Riddled with sonic booms. So the world can see. On the delayed TV. That local, state. And national guard police. We can’t even think. About a peaceful protest. On the streets of this corporatocracy. Take a chill pill. What’s the real deal? Get all your goods at Walmart. Put it all in your shopping cart. Shut up and put the blinders on. So you can’t see. What tomorrow might bring. If seeds get planted today. Like a field of wild mint.

The Poetry Party

An exploration of modern and contemporary poetry. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Through exposure to and discussion of poetry in this class, I've become much more confident in my analysis of poetic works. I certainly cannot pick up on every little aspect of of Eliot's "The Wasteland," but I can make much more progress in deciphering than I could have at the beginning of the semester. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. At long last I am posting my final paper for ENGL 210. It has been a wild ride. The parts of a poem t...
