Growing Roses in the Desert. My love affair with roses began in earnest when my husband and I moved into our first home in Phoenix. I inherited a garden with three old rose bushes, which I soon increased to 40 - yes, I said 40 roses! Although my current garden has fewer roses, I still love them as much as I did. Growing roses in the desert is both easier and harder then in other climates. Below, are a series of rose-themed blog posts, which I hope will help you grow beautiful roses in the desert southwest.
