Wednesday, 21 November 2012. The Colour of the Earth. Living on the edge of the Quantock Hills in Somerset we are fortunate to have red soil to farm. It is easy to work, free draining and looks spectacular when freshly ploughed on a bright sunny day ,but in my opinion has one major drawback.
