The Real Happy Hour. In April 2012, partners from the Marathon County Alcohol and Other Drug Partnership Council, Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Coalition, Early Years Coalition and the Hunger Coalition in Marathon County came together to create a community-wide campaign called The Real Happy Hour. In Wisconsin, municipalities have the ability and authority to create a positive alcohol environment. This means that each municipality in Wisconsin has the ability to create its own alcohol environment. Control the number, location, and operational standards for licensing alcohol sales. Limit sales of single serving alcohol beverage containers. Limit or prohibit alcohol use on public property including parks and recreational areas. Limit alcohol advertising on all public property.
