Monday, June 30, 2008. 1/4 - 1/2 cup brown sugar. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Melt butter and pour into a 9 x 13 pan. Peel and slice apples and arrange in rows on top of butter. Blend remaining ingredients except flour in a mixing bowl. Add the flour gradually until combined. Slowly pour egg batter over apples and butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for 20 minutes. Wednesday, December 16. Chocolate Kissed Peanut Butter Cookies. When I was contacted by C&H Sugar. And asked to bake a holiday creation from their website in exchange for a gift card I could not resist. I was sent a gift card and purchased what I needed to make these delicious peanut butter kiss cookies. They were so good and devoured immediately in our house. Luckily, I did manage to freeze some for Christmas though. These cookies are so simple to whip up too. Make sure to visit the C&H website.

Wednesday, June 15, 2011. I am coming on 12 weeks since my mom has been gone. Some days I feel ok.others, others I just don't want to get out of bed. There are just feelings you never know exist until you are faced with them. Grief grief is horrible. Everytime I think of my mom, and realize she is gone, I get this panic feeling in my chest,. The feeling of losing something significant,. The feeling that nothing will ever be the same,. The loss of security,. I am really, really trying to feel better.

Sunday, May 27, 2012. So glad summer is here! Kalvyn finished her Sophmore year with straight A's. and now off to EVIT next year for cosmetology. I am so proud of her for working so hard and making the tough decision to miss out on dance next year to pursue her career dreams. It was a tough decision but she really wants this.
