The red house by the lake. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. A coastal inspired mirror. This isn't a new project, because we made it back when we redid our hall, but I think it merits an own post. They are standard mirrors and put together they quickly give real flashbacks of the 80's. I still needed mirrors for the hallway though, and that's when I came up with this idea. I went to the lumber yard, got some meters of rough planks. I cut them into pieces that were a bit longer than the mirror. Linking up to here.

These were taken before we moved in and as you can see, the former owners had chosen a lot of wood panelling. I am acctually quite glad they did, because honestly, I think it scared a few potential buyers off. As to why they did it, I assume we all have different taste and different interests.). The red house by the lake. Thursday, March 31, 2011. The first lunch outside. It has been snowing again today, but last weekend spring was here for a short visit. We celebrated by eating our lunch out in the sun room, and the cats joined us as well. I think I need to update my description so that it says that this is a blog about DIY and cats, because it seems to have turned into that. Even left overs taste good outside. I will show the pictures from when we built it in a later post. Have a good day!
