Finally found a room in the extremely touristy Bagneres , detoured Pau , went through Tarbes , and now 2500 ft in the low Pyrenees . 96 mile total today . Glad to be away from the faster roads , had more traffic the further south I travelled . Witnessed an accident this morning , a reminder of how fragile and transient life really is . After Le Tourmalet tomorrow may look for an exit strategy, head for Paris? Reading Rousseau tonight .

After last weeks flat battery incident when getting ready to leave for our ride I decided I'd get myself a battery tender and whilst I was at it a new battery for my old R1. The Beast lives again.
