Unfortunately, the placenta previa is still hanging on, so I am still not allowed to pick up Evie and I have to continue to "take it easy." There has definitely been movement in the right direction though, which is great news. He believes it will have corrected itself by our appointment next month. . Although I enjoy harrassing my mom by saying that perhaps we'll go ahead and keep that information...

Adventures of Evangeline and Soda. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. We didn't put Evie in swim lessons last summer and since I plan to (hopefully! Be at the pool a lot this summer I thought it would be good to kick off with some lessons. We chose the less expensive recreation center route since these would mainly be lessons to expose her to the water, rather than full on lessons to teach her to swim. I think it was a good way to go. Since that was what would precede her going under). but that was about it.

As an only child, I'm fascinated by sibling relationships anyway, so when they are sweet like this I just eat it up. Just a quick note to let all Evie's fans know that she is now getting to a standing position on her own in the middle of the floor (rather than first pulling up on furniture or our hands and then letting go). It's obvious that she has more trouble controlling her left leg when she does this. She also took 2 (albeit awkward) steps yesterday. Yipppeeee! But at least I'm building up my arm muscles!

So here it is: Jen.misses the days when I could have privacy in the bathroom. Evie is pretty good about playing independently, but when I head to the bathroom, heaven forbid that I shut the door! Adventures of Evangeline and Soda. Thursday, July 2, 2009. Funny Things Evie Does. Evie is such a hoot lately! Here are a few memorable moments/quirks at this stage:. I am lazily thinking about potty training. Evie shows some signs of readiness (very aware of pee/poop, has had some dry diapers after naps and even one time overnight, etc.), but whenever I ask if she wants to sit on her potty, the answer is always a resounding "No! Evie LOVES having her diaper changed! Dee dee (Evie) pool! Yeah, yeah pool!
