Dec 29, 2014. Sunday afternoon we headed over to Sebastian and Mindy's house to help celebrate their birthday's. They both have December birthday's that often get lost in the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holiday. Apr 25, 2015. I can't complain about being gone from my classroom for two days when I got to go to San Diego for a conference. A team of five went down for a Common Core ELA conference. It was a fast trip: We headed down Monday night after work and then came home Wednesday night after two full days of conference and planning. We were all tired. (But it was worth it! Blurry.but this is the White River crew with our presenter! Apr 20, 2015. So we purchased two more tickets and had a great family night!

Jul 31, 2015. Can I just tell you how happy I am when I come into a room or look behind me in the car and see Cannon devouring a book! It makes my heart so full. But finally this summer Cannon read another Diary of a Wimpy Kid book and hasn't been able to put them down. He's read three books in about a month and is almost finished with his latest one. Jun 29, 2015. Hot weather on the weekend takes us right to the water! We spent another great two days at Mayfield Lake and the entire day on Saturday on the water. The temps were in the 90's and being in the water helped us all stay cool. Saturday was very muggy, too, especially into the later afternoon and evening. Saturday Cannon used the kayak around Party Cove. Colson also learned to use it there. It took Colson a couple of times, a few tears and some yelling (him, not us! Great to be on the water.

Aug 2, 2015. Here Comes the Bride. This post is a late one. We attended Miss Boyle's wedding on July 19th and it's taken me this long! Mandy Boyle is the music teacher at our school. Cannon loves her, as does all of the students. She is one great music teacher and works her tail off for the kids. She is also a very good friend and colleague. Cannon and I wouldn't have missed her wedding! It was a beautiful ceremony. Very personal. Mandy and Cannon at the wedding! This is a great picture! Back to the Lake.
