Simple mulled Wine Recipe. This time of year few things are better than a delicious glass of mulled wine served with crumbly mince pies. This recipe is so easy and tasty you will be making it again and again throughout the Christmas period. 1 Bottle of red wine. 2 x Cinnamon sticks. 1 Orange, Sliced. 1 Dried bay leaf. 60ml Sloe gin (optional). Put all the ingredients together in a saucepan and heat over a gentle heat until the sugar has dissolved. Taste, and add more sugar if required.
