Spring 2016 has been a strange one weather-wise. For a while the grass seemed slow to get going and we were concerned about having enough grass for the cows when the left the winter housing to go out to the fields for the summer. Then, within a week or so, it warmed up and the grass grew like mad! I'm sure your own lawns were doing just the same)!

Enclosed by the upland expanses of Bodmin, Exmoor and Dartmoor, and to the north by the wild North Devon coast, Ruby Country is very much "undiscovered Devon". A haven of tranquility, with some of the blackest night skies in the UK, a visit to Ruby Country is a visit where you can experience the peace and quiet of being truly off the beaten track. And there is plenty to do! Electrical Hookups all Pitches.

Lotti's Devon Diary: Dairy Jam
http://lottisdevondiary.blogspot.com/2014/04/cattle-jam.html
Tuesday, 8 April 2014. Ah such a sight and one that reminds you that winter is over (the bullocks/steers are back too in the field by the house, they go mad on the first day out, so pleased to be back on grass again, they have got very very muddy too, think they have been having celebratory rolls! I don't mind getting stuck in a cow jam, it's quite nice seeing all the girls on their way with their great big swollen swinging udders to the milking parlour and they will back in the field in no time :).
