Singing for fun and charity. On Saturday December 10th 1988. Nottingham University Adult Education Centre Choir gave its very first concert. The Founder/Conductor was Geoffrey Moore, his wife Evelyn was the accompanist. Over the subsequent few years the choir flourished under Geoffrey's baton, with concerts performed on a fairly regular basis. Geoffrey had to retire due to ill health, whilst Evelyn devoted herself to nursing him. During the time it took to find a new conductor, the choir took a break.

Singing for fun and charity. Marjorie joined the choir as Musical Director in January 2000. She is a Bachelor of Music (BMus), a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM), an Associate of the Royal College of Music (ARCM), and holds a Diploma in Religious Studies (Dip. RS) and a Certificate In Education (Cert Ed). In additon, Marjorie is a keen gardener, enjoys keeping fit, and likes to travel.
