The Schmits

Monday, April 30, 2012. The Tooth Fairy has visited Dylan twice already and he just turned 5! He lost his first tooth on April 18th. Dylan was spending the night at Grandma and Grandpa house and Grandma helped wiggle his tooth loose. Dylan thought that the Tooth Fairy would enjoy a game of hide-and-seek. He hid his tooth in a "really, really, really hard to find" place. Luckily she is smart and she found it and left $2 (or "two bills" as Dylan would say"). Monday, October 31, 2011. Here is our crew.

The Schmits: September 2011

http://www.theschmitfam.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 30, 2011. September was a fun and busy month! Here a few highlights from this month. For Papa's birthday we went to a Mariners game. After the game we all went out to dinner. Sunglasses are so cool! Me and my girl! We went to one of Dylan's favorite places, the fishing pond! Lucky for Dylan Nana is an excellent fisherwoman. Dylan is always ready with his net. Auntie Lizzy kept Taylor occupied while we fished. It is always fun to watch them clean the fish =). Grandma and Grandpa joined us.

The Schmits: December 2010

http://www.theschmitfam.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 31, 2010. Random Photos from December. Uncle Jeff and Aunt Tracy meeting Taylor for the first time. They had been gone for over a year and it was so wonderful to see them again! Aunt Tracy was teaching Dylan to play the drums and the rest of the family was part of "Dylan's Rock 'n Roll Band". Grandma and Grandpa can get Dylan to do things he would never do at home. He fell asleep. On Grandpa's lap while they were listening to Christmas music. I love my little candy cane man! Family at th...

Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Here are a few highlights from August that I didn't have time to blog about. Obe got married this month and it was so fun to catch up with old friend and celebrate! We miss our friends from Cali! It was so fun to spend a night with them! The Gig Harbor Crew! Me and my sweetie! Dylan was excited to visit the zoo and feed the birds! Oh no, they are getting eaten by a shark! Look at my huge zucchini from Grandpa's garden! The dryer is a really cool place to hang out! You can't tell...

Spaulding Scribbles: 10 Months Old

http://spauldingscribbles.blogspot.com/2015/07/10-months-old.html

Friday, July 24, 2015. Ok I'm just happy with myself for posting this before Cameron turns 11 months. My where is the time going? Only a couple more of these posts and he'll be 1 year old! He's pretty ecstatic about his new skills and being able to keep up with big brother easier. Cameron is officially sleeping through the night. Hooray! The extra 30 min every night is heavenly for me. Now if I could just get to bed earlier. 2 teeth have come in! Cameron is all about the real food. We did baby food w...

Spaulding Scribbles: 9 Months Old

http://spauldingscribbles.blogspot.com/2015/06/9-months-old.html

Monday, June 8, 2015. And here we are at the 9 months old milestone already! What a fun time this is! Cameron is so cute and so fun right now. And growing up way too fast. He makes us smile many times a day and really brings so much joy to our household. His smile is the best thing to come home to after a long day. He started clapping this month! He weighs about 18 lbs and 12 oz. Cameron's been a little slower taking to solids than Nate. He eats 3 baby food containers a day- at breakfast, lunch and d...

Spaulding Scribbles: 6th Wedding Anniversary

http://spauldingscribbles.blogspot.com/2015/06/6th-wedding-anniversary.html

Thursday, June 4, 2015. 6 years. 6 happy, blessed, adventurous, stretching, learning, overwhelming, sweet years of marriage. On the one hand it feels like I've known and been with James forever. On the other hand it feels like 6 years has flown by and only just yesterday we were going on our first date. On a lighter side note, James and I have observed the traditional wedding gifts in all our years of marriage so far. Here's a record of what we've given:. Wrote letters to each other.

Spaulding Scribbles: April 2015

http://spauldingscribbles.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Not much time lately to blog, but I'm trying not to get super behind. I wanted to capture our Easter holiday so I'm going to do it through photos (which let's face it are much more fun than reading my descriptions anyway). So here goes. This year we did some serious egg hunting. And Nathan learned the "hot and cold" game! Having a blast and feeling pretty proud of his hunting skills. The stockpile of jelly beans, chocolate, and fruit snacks. Cameron's First Easter and egg hunt!

Spaulding Scribbles: March 2015

http://spauldingscribbles.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 17, 2015. How is it that our sweet little baby is already half a year old? It's happening too fast. Stop growing up, Cameron! I think every day lately James and I have looked at it each other while playing with or being with Cameron and said "this is the best age! Seriously this timeframe until 18 months is my absolute favorite. He's so cute and fun.and he can't talk back to us yet. :). Here are the fun developments at 6 months:. Apparently the stomach flu can last up to 14 days! For toys,...

Thursday, September 18, 2014. We are officially a family of 4! Baby Cameron arrived happy and healthy on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 6:48pm. He came about 1.5 weeks early and weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 inches long. Thank goodness he came early! Nathan was the same exact weight, but he came right at due date! We're so thrilled that baby is finally here and just keep pinching ourselves that we have 2 wonderful healthy boys. It's so fun to be a family of 4. More updates to come soon and mor...Welco...

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Our sweet boy is 3 months old (well really almost 4 months old at the time of blog post)! He's looking handsomer every day and is just so dang cute (I know I'm biased). I love this time on though because it feels like they just get more and more personality and are doing so many amazing developmental things. Here's what's happening with Cameron at 3 months:. Why does it feel early still for all of this to be happening? He started school this month! Such a little man! Happy 3 m...

Tuesday, August 26, 2014. James is now Over the Hill! The dreaded 40th birthday has come and gone and James survived. Luckily we did lots of great celebrating to help gently and happily ease him into old age. The birthday celebration continued into last weekend when we had dinner with James' family. Again more wonderful time with loved ones plus ice cream cake! Celebrating with the Warners at our house. Good buddies- James, Jesse and Carter. Bump shot at about week 35! Lovely dinner at Sorrentos. View my...

Spaulding Scribbles: Summertime Part I: May & June

http://spauldingscribbles.blogspot.com/2015/07/summertime-part-i-may-june.html

Friday, July 10, 2015. Summertime Part I: May and June. This summer has been very busy so far.and hot! Crazy weather- being in the 90's without any rain most all of June. Weird! What happened to June gloom? I'm not complaining really because we've gotten to do so many fun activities outside. I am hoping for a small break of cooler weather soon though. Our house has been pretty toasty. We took a fun family hike to Franklin Falls near Denny Creek over Memorial Day weekend. Nathan loved it! I hadn't seen Ch...

Monday, May 5, 2014. This kid is at a tough stage right now- his vocabulary just isn't big enough to express his wants and needs- but it's hard to stay mad at this messy, smiley face for too long. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. It was walk-to-school day today so we loaded up the kids and paraded up the sidewalk from our neighborhood to school. Love that almost the entire bus stop joined in on the fun! Tuesday, April 22, 2014. This kid is a fish! At his last lesson, he swam a 50m free and a 100m backstroke!
